Did call Texas Federation of Republican Women in Austin and asked they contact Cornyn’s office in Austin or send an email - because I know they are in his hip pocket - and tell him he best go support Cruz or we would make sure we Dewhurst Cornyn during the next election. Lady I spoke with said they were not in a position to “become involved”.

“Damn straight we do. Cornyn votes for cloture, he won't get my vote, and I'll support anyone that primaries him.”

I emailed him this morning, I would have to remove my support for him and vote for another if he voted for cloture. He has been my man and has known that for years since he was Attorney General when Democrats went after me by a formal complaint to him and it was a big deal and required an Attorney General Cornyn official Opinion in my favor. That opinion is there on the Attorney General website forever. If I go, he has to know millions go. It hurt me to have to send that, but I have no choice.

I think when Rand Paul did his filibuster, some of the GOP leadership commissioned some fast polls as news of the filibuster started showing up in the MSM.

I expect they are or will be doing similar this evening, if Cruz continues into the night. They will commission quick polls to see which side they should get on. That will be especially true of those up for reelection next year.
