Barack Obama wiped away tears at the White House as he expressed grief over the children killed in the Connecticut massacre and promised "meaningful action" to prevent similar shooting rampages in the future.
Obama has promised to act on gun control after earlier shooting incidents but subsequently done nothing implement any changes. Over the last four years of his presidency, restrictions on guns – in particular concealed weapons – have become more relaxed and gun sales soared.
There have been five major shooting sprees since he has been president, three of them this year. This one is different because the majority of the victims in the school in Newtown are young children, but the most recent opinion polls have shown overwhelming opposition to gun restrictions.

Agreed. Wiping ‘tears’ from the outside of his eyes was clearly staged. Tear ducts are on the inside closer to the nose. Watch the video. Every time he wiped his eyes, including the first time which was before even he got emotional, he wiped the outside. Of course there was nothing to wipe. Had there been he would know they are on the inside. He’s a terrible actor.
Amen. How do you go from being onsite witnessing this today to sitting down and having a normal Christmas dinner, New Year's Eve etc. without having it creep into your mind and disrupt your thoughts? Prayers for everyone involved in trying to help or doing their job today.
Hopefully they will have good follow up counseling for survivors as well. Some could be at risk of recurrent PTSD. They are so young.
People said the same thing about ObamaCare, and here we are stuck with it. Now is not the time for sitting back and hope things get voted the right way, and hoping the supreme court votes the right way. Obama's second term will require a Tea party x10 response to make sure our rights are kept.
What guns ? I sold them....to a guy. No, I don’t know him he was the friend of a friend of a friend. He paid cash. Never seen him before or since.

Each day untold numbers of unborn and partially born babies are systematically murdered with assembly line efficiency via a process called abortion. The Left, including obama and the media does not raise an eyebrow. In addition, obama watched the torture murder of one our Ambassadors and other innocent individuals without so much as a peep.
It is us that are going to lose in 2014 and 2016. I wonder if I will live long enough to see us be the majority party again. I doubt it. A wise man said on election night...either we silence the far right and the fringe nuts...or we will be defined by them. The more they talk..the more we will be rendered the minority party. And we deserve it if we let them speak as though they are our spokespersons...they do not speak for me..or any other Republican I know. And today has nothing to do with politics. It has to do with a crazed gunman. This also has nothing to do with gun control.

This one is different because so many kids were gunned down. They’re going to use this to pull on the publics heart strings and it’s gonna work. This is going to end badly for gun owners.
Facilities are closing all over the US and commitment is becoming more and more difficult every day.
I was thinking how sad it is that we not only have the weight of this horror on our minds but we also have to worry about the government using it to take away our freedom.
That’s what hit me, every horrible crisis I have to worry about them using it to take away our rights. Whether it’s guns, freedom of speech, or privacy the threat constantly looms. Our freedom shouldn’t hinge on any events period.
