Two days after President Obama flew into storm-ravaged New Jersey on Wednesday for a 90 minute photo op with Governor Christie, parts of the state have descended into what one local resident calls "an apocalyptic vision." On Friday, in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, this New Jersey resident described the situation there:
New Jersey right now is experiencing an apocalyptic vision. Gas lines are a mile long. Hundreds are standing in line with gas cans. Fights are breaking out. Police and national guard have been called out. I've not had power or taken a shower since Sunday. Pray for us here.
FEMA reps are meeting with people in their residences to assess how recovery assistance can be provided to them.
While FEMA representatives had finally arrived on the ground by Friday, most of them appear to be focused on providing financial assistance to victims of Hurricane Sandy at some point in the future. There is no indication yet that any FEMA representatives on the ground are actually doing anything to aid in the distribution of food, supplies, gas, or restoring electricity.
On Wednesday, President Obama promised to deliver a far rosier outcome to New Jersey residents over the next several days. In fact, the President made a specific promise that he would make sure supplies were delivered, as CNN reported. Two days later, he's failed to deliver on that promise, though he has been able to campaign in key swing states across the country during that time:
Many people across the region are still in need of basic supplies. President Barack Obama visited a shelter Wednesday in the hard-hit town of Brigantine, New Jersey, where he said he met a woman with an 8-month-old who has run out of diapers and formula.
"Those are the kinds of basic supplies

Hate to break it to you, friend, but Americans outside that small region of the country have near zero familiarity with the minute details of how y'all define that place.
Even less so among conservatives. Try not to be so offended in your first couple of days as a Freeper. You'll make friends a whole lot faster.
So what does Christy say about this? I’m sure he’s assureing everyone that help is on the way thanks to the great job obama is doing.
FEMA is a joke. They’ll take your name and you might get a debit card in a few days. These people need food and water.
I stand corrected. Thank you. I should have referred to “Yankees” as being the woosies, not New Englanders. My bad.
You don't know what you're talking about. I've lived in New England all my life and I've never even heard of the term "wash ashore". What does that even mean? Nobody is "shunned" because of where they come from and frankly, nobody really cares. People move in and out of these parts all the time.
You are just making all of this up!
Do you have a link for it? I've got stuff like this video from Fox business but not the one you refer to.
That’s how we treat people down here. :-)
Evacuate as you’ve been told! Fuel your car; stock some water, canned goods, batteries and blankets beforehand if you don’t! Bad things happen and we are all ultimately responsible for ourselves.
When it comes to idiots who were in evac zones and did not evac, I’m with you. They deserve what they get.
A lot of these people DID prepare. The storm flooded areas miles further than the evacuation zones. Your lack of compassion for those who did prepare and whose houses were totally flooded out, or burned, or otherwise destroyed is what’s amazing.
Were there people up here who deserve what they got? Sure. But there were a lot of people - A LOT - who did what they should have, prepared, evacuated etc...and still lost everything.
Don’t assume that everyone here is in the same situation. We’re not. And a lot of us are your friends, FRiend.
If it was the audio from this video, then it was about a union dispute with Verizon, rather than about the Alabama crews.
Having lived through four hurricanes, I make no assumptions whatsoever that all situations are the same. Insurance is the responsible person’s friend, and the only ones who “lost everything” are those that died. I’m glad you survived. Good luck with your cleanup and rebuilding. It won’t be fun. I know. Let me know if you need any supplies. As your FRiend, I’m glad to assist.

Sounds familiar......
No carbon footprint, capitalism shut down, low calorie intake, everybody asking government for stuff..... NY-NJ has just become Utopia!!
Can anyone imagine what the results would have been had Sandy been a Cat 2 or bigger storm? Frightening to think of.
Well, don’t blame us....... ya all look the same
This’ll give ‘Joisey to Romney!
Get south of Old Bridge sometime, or north of Paramus for that matter. NJ still has the third highest per capita income in the US (amazingly).
Hannity played it on his Friday afternoon show. UFB!
That’s the America I grew up in and loved. Haven’t seen it in the last 4+ years, except in rare instances.
Obama did not look very Presidential when he said “Voting is Revenge.” He looks more like a desperate campaigner who thinks he is a loser.
I remember being in Atlanta on business in the mid-80s, when they got 5-6” of snow, and it was chaos. The streets were like Bump-Em-Cars at the county fair: smash-ups everywhere! I got a room for the night instead of flying out of Hartsfield Int’l Airport (it was shut down), until the snow melted and they cleared the wreckage throughout the city. Gaaaawd, what a mess. LOL.
