“Romney will announce his choice for Vice President in Norfolk, Virginia at 8:45am EST,” Romney campaign spokesman Lenny Alcivar told reporters in an email this evening.
The announcement is being made at the USS Wisconsin. It’s still unclear whom he will choose, but the odds that it is Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., seemed to increase when National Review’s Robert Costa noted that a charter plane flew from Boston to Ryan’s hometown of Janesville, Wis., today.

If Mitt is a waffler, Obama is a confirmed radical leftwing socialist. With Mitt, there is at least some hope he can be pressured into a few conservative agenda items. With Obama it will be big fat ZERO.

Most people of conservative bent expected Sarah Palin to join the race. She didn’t, which left a lot of quickly fading second stringers — and Mitt. How to avoid having that happen in primaries (which had totally pitiful turnouts) is of more importance than whether or not to vote the only viable unObama now.

I’m breathing a sigh of relief as Pennsylvania slips from the radar as a battleground state and the focues shifts to OH and MI.
