Unbelievable! Tammy Duckworth Swiftboated!
http://johnkerry.com | 7/3/12 | John F'n Kerry (who served in Vietnam, you know)

Posted on 07/03/2012 7:55:25 PM PDT by pabianice

Requires no explanation -- veterans who lost two legs in war are heroes, period -- seriously please just help beat this guy!

From: Jon Soltz Subject: Unbelievable! Tammy Duckworth Swiftboated! Date: Tue, Jul 3, 2012 at 2:15 PM

I was just getting ready for tomorrow's July 4th celebrations when I heard Rep. Joe Walsh's latest smears and had to let you know. Tammy Duckworth needs our support!

He's said many disgraceful things about Tammy, her service and veterans in the past, but this is beyond the pale - on the eve of the 4th of July, Joe Walsh wants vets to shut up about their service.

You can read the transcript of Walsh's comments and watch a video at ThinkProgress.

Please join us in helping Tammy Duckworth fight back by making a contribution to her campaign!

On the eve of our nation's birthday, let's show Tammy that we've got her back.

Sincerely, Jon Soltz Iraq War Veteran Chairman, VoteVets.org

Swiftboating means telling the truth about someone. . .

My first reaction; but it is understandable; given how so few Repubs stood up for that truth; and so we lost that battle - like so many - to the Dem propagandists and now; it is 'common parlance' - in the negative.

Repubs never seem to 'get it'; or think it worth their time; to challenge the Dem mythmakers, for which there ARE consequences.

When you go to Thinkprogress.com it locks you into donating to Obama before you are allowed in. Anyone have the video?

That's because you went to thinkprogress.COM instead of thinkprogress.ORG

“Call her out on her lame campaign that pertains to ANYTHING but her military career. What part of this don’t you understand?”

As I recall from Duckworth’s past campaigns, and from IL posters on this thread, there IS NOTHING to her campaign(s) except her military service and loss of limbs, thus nothing else to call her out about.

There’s no there there. She’s a one-note campaigner who claims no one can attack her singular note.

What part of this don’t YOU understand?

Kerry’s picture of her shows her campaigning in uniform. That’s a huge violation of the UCMJ.

I really don’t care about her affiliation with Obama.

well, then perhaps you are on the wrong forum Miss

you are slamming a lot of decent posters here just because they are not in a tither that a decent fellow is fighting back against Wonder Woman

your stance is typical won't fight back talk which has helped get us defeated over and over and which if Romney doesn't get his head in the game will happen yet again

get one thing straight about progressives, they will do anything to win and will then do everything they can after they win to use that power...period...in their mind they are fighting evil...."us"

Tammy Duckworth is trying to parlay her tragic circumstances into a life at the taxpayer teat.
Just like Max Cleland did. Cleland voted communist and lasted one term.

So John Kerry is the source?

The Brietbart media commentator was a guest host on Chicago WLS AM radio this morning explaining how this is all hype from a leftist website.

The Obama media are trying to say that Joe Walsh hates veterans.

Tuesday, July 03, 2012
Walsh: “Of course, Tammy Duckworth’s a hero”

Walshjoe2From Congressman Joe Walsh’s campaign -

My opponents are once again trying to accuse me of something that is not true. It has become their agenda this Fourth of July week to twist my words and claim I said my opponent is not a hero and have insulted all veterans as a consequence. Folks, if you’re familiar with me and my campaign, you know this is utterly false. Shame on her for saying this and shame on her for using veterans in this fashion.

In fact, recently on the Big John and Amy Show I stated, “Tammy Duckworth’s service demands our respect and that is something I will do and say for her throughout this campaign.” I open all my town halls byrecognizing our veterans who served to protect our great nation.

Tammy Duckworth knows this and should know better than to use her service and the service of others as a political ploy to distort my words and distract voters. We as a people are facing great problems in our country, and it is time for us to get serious and address them.

Just so you are all aware, I released the following statement earlier:

“Of course Tammy Duckworth is a hero. I have called her a hero 100’s of times in the past four months. Just like every man and woman who has worn the uniform, her service demands - demands - our utmost respect. That’s why I recognize our veterans at the beginning of every one of my public town halls. However, unlike most veterans I have had the honor to meet since my election to Congress, who rarely if ever talk about their service or the combat they’ve seen, that is darn near all of what Tammy Duckworth talks about. Her service demands our thanks and respect, but not our vote. She is running for Congress - and there are real problems in this country like our massive debt, high unemployment and the Obamacare tax. We are about four months from Election Day and the people of Illinois have no idea where Tammy Duckworth stands on these issues because she dodges debate requests, ignores our invitations to speak at town halls, refuses to talk about solutions, and constantly reminds voters of her war service. Our thoughts and prayers will always be with her for her service and her loss but these are serious times and the people of Illinois deserve to know what she thinks about real issues and what she will do as a Congresswoman.”

Let’s hold Tammy Duckworth and the Democrats accountable for trying these “gotcha tactics” when so many Americans are looking for solutions to the problems they face.

If memory serves from way back when, that's how she got elected in the first place.

If military service doesn't insulate Republicans from scorn, it sure as hell doesn't protect the Left from it, either.

Washington Post Accuses GOP Congressman of Saying Something He Never Said Posted on July 4, 2012 by Warner Todd Huston

This is a perfect example of Old Media “gotcha” reporting. On July 3, the Washington Post attempted to accuse GOP Congressman Joe Walsh (Ill. 8th District) of saying that his Democrat opponent, Iraq War veteran Tammy Duckworth, is not a hero.

Not only is this perfect as “gotcha” reporting, it also an example of the Washington Post getting its marching orders from the left-wing, George Soros controlled Internet group Think Progress because that is where this faux report originated.

Only July 1, Congressman Walsh held a townhall event near Elk Grove, Illinois, ostensibly to talk about the Obamacare decision issued by the Supreme Court of the United States a few days before. In his comments Walsh brought up those men and women that serve or have served the U.S. in our armed forces, as he always does at the beginning of his appearances. He noted that such heroes don’t usually talk about their service and he used the example of Senator John McCain, who was often reluctant to talk about his service during the 2008 campaign for President.

Eventually, in an offhanded comment, Walsh mentioned Duckworth’s touting of her own service saying, “that’s all she talks about.”

Now, before we get into this further, I was actually at this Walsh Townhall. I reported on it at my Illinois site, but I mention this so that I can tell you my impression of what actually went on there. Continue reading →

Tammy deserves less than patriotic support for her political caspitulation.

Its time for veterans to speak up this election season, she is a shame to the uniform regardless of her service and injuries. Since most won’t, let the politicians be honest for once.

“Too many FReeper’s are playing into the politics instead of the principles”

YOU are the one playing politics here. Joe Walsh IS standing on his principles and saying ENOUGH! He’s calling her to account for her positions on ISSUES rather than her victimhood. Which is ALL she ever talks about. He is absolutely right and he is one of a handful of politicians conservatives ought to be touting and sending money to by the millions.

“It’s bed time here in Afghanistan.”

And really...that’s what it’s all about, right? You are a proud vet, rightfully so, and thank you for your service.

Keep in mind that not all vets are upstanding, patriotic Americans. She is one that has despicable character and claims victimhood of the first order. C O N S T A N T L Y. Joe is not the problem for pointing it out. Or did you think Kerry’s service was “untouchable” as well?

“Do you ‘respect’ John Kerry’s service?”

I can only guess, as with the rest of the posters, you haven’t read the body of what I have posted.

Otherwise, you wouldn’t have even bothered asking this question.
