First, an apology for the millionth vanity here...
It has become clear to me that what Justice Roberts has done is so shameful and such an outright trampling on our constitution and theft of our liberty that he should be impeached and be removed from office. In an otherwise sane world where this document still meant something, he would be impeached and if the Republicans have any spine they'd do it. This, "cut off your nose to spite your face" wizardy (that is, trample the constitution in order to save the reputation of the court) is the last straw in what has been an enduring attack on our freedom. Enough; draw the damn line here and now.
If the opinions of Justices Scalia, Thomas, Alito and even Kennedy could not sway Justice Roberts in a case which has such tremendous implications for our country; then, there is clearly no hope for the man; he cannot be reformed and he must go.
Over the last 200 years, Congress has used impeachment for all types of offensives, so yes, you could "impeach" Roberts for liberal activism and failing up to hold constitutional law. But if you were successful and removed him, Obama would name his replacement. How

We have procedures to fire or remove politicians and judges from office, but we can’t even get rid of people like Charlie Rangel, Maxine Waters or Eric Holder so I don’t see how we would have the courge to impeach a supreme court justice no matter what they did.
You cant stay tied up in courts while being threatened with funds being withheld, and being forced to do exactly what the federal government demands forever unless you accept tyranny. Its obvious what our founding fathers would think of our current federal government, and this is exactly the reason they gave us the right to destroy the government when it becomes something it was never meant to be. Its time to start ignoring these demands, and let the federal government give us back our freedom, or let them escalate the situation.
Of Roberts, one might ask that old liberal Howard Baker line: What did GWB know about the real Roberts and when did he know it?
Yea, maybe Roberts has Stockholm Syndrome? Maybe Harriet Miers would have been more reliable, but who knows?
The Constitution was put in place with its limitations, in part, to KEEP America from digging a “political hole” for itself like with this non-tax tax or penalty or unicorn food. Where the Constitution has done that, it’s the duty of the Supreme Court to echo and uphold it. Four gallant souls on it did. Even Kennedy!
Is it possible to impeach a Justice for mental incompetence? I’m wondering about Roberts and the effect of those seizure pills now.
Miers was derided as being a pedestrian lawyer, but I’d rather have five Mierses than the cabal that rubber stamped Obamacare. As it is, she’d have been in what is Alito’s seat had she survived the storm, so it wouldn’t have helped with the Roberts problem.
We would unless we all decided we didn’t want to fight for something granted us under our Constitution. If we are just going to follow the frivolous opinions of courts then we should give up now. The federal government cannot be stopped, or fixed, at this point. It’s time for it to be dissolved and rebuilt. It’s pointless to keep fighting an obvious losing battle within the corrupt system.

I believe Obamacare will defeat itself, one way or another, in the long run.
Any removals after impeachment will be done by the senate. That means the goal to potentially do it is 2012 elections and getting a majority in the senate. I actually would not mind seeing Roberts yanked off the court for this. It’s the second dumbest ruling from SCROTUS in my lifetime. 1st being Roe, third being eminent domain case.
The USSC claims this bill is a Federal USG direct tax upon citizens and that they have that authority. In direct opposition to that is the USConstitution, where no such power exists.
With USG completely off the rails, we the individual must know
“It is not only his right, but his duty to find the verdict according to his own best understanding, judgment, and conscience, though in direct opposition to the direction of the court.”
— John Adams
I am beginning to think that Thomas Jefferson was quite wise when he expressed concern about the powers given to the Supreme Court.
Of course, he couldn’t envision the leftist Judges sitting below the SC; nor, could he have envisioned our current King Obama either.
Speculation is that Roberts wanted to save the reputation of the Supreme Court by making appear less political. Well, that is the funniest thing I have ever heard.
Roberts is a disgrace and those four socialist embarrassments that voted with him are a joke.
It is all about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Too bad that has been lost in the shuffle.
You do realize that he expanded the taxing clause so that you have no guarantee of Liberty whatsoever. He basically said that whatever the government can't do under the Commerce Clause (which isn't much) they can do under the taxing authority (which is everything else). This was the single biggest government expansion in the history of the Republic.
I am starting to realize 1) Roberts is a genius
Then you must be an idiot.
You are on the wrong forum. Get out of here you big dummy!
So are you an attorney and know the “goings-on” of the Supreme Court better than the Justices?
Roberts is the victim here in my opinion. The person to be romoved is Chicago-style threatener — Obama.
“Dont just single out Roberts. There were 5 bad judgements.”
Yeah. He threw his lot in with Democrat justices Ruth Buzzi Ginsberg, `Wise Latina’ Sotomeyer, Breyer’s (Ice Cream) and “Butch” Kagan—who wasn’t even supposed to join in this decison under federal law, but of course Roberts did nothing about that either.
He truckled to the Democrats, who still despise him and us. He put on his kneepads and corrected their papers and gave them a passing grade. Now he’s hated by both sides, although the Left’s feelings are probably more like the contempt they have towards useful idiot/dupe McCain rather than the visceral hatred felt by a group towards one of its members that turns his coat.
Now the rest of us get to pay for another host of entitlements for the “disadvantaged” lower class.
I was thinking of this the other day while I was sweating, laying down wooden flooring.
I thought about it while I passed a group of “disadvantaged” yutes, also sweating, but they were playing basketball while the rest of us—those of us who are actually pulling this wagon called the USA—were working.
So I think I will blame Roberts for selling us out, of course along with the other four black crows. But they have an excuse: they’re Democrats.
By the way, it’s spelled “judgment.”
“Roberts is the victim here”
“Poppycock”: warm horse droppings.
