Documents obtained by CBS News show that the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) discussed using their covert operation "Fast and Furious" to argue for controversial new rules about gun sales.
PICTURES: ATF "Gunwalking" scandal timeline
In Fast and Furious, ATF secretly encouraged gun dealers to sell to suspected traffickers for Mexican drug cartels to go after the "big fish." But ATF whistleblowers told CBS News and Congress it was a dangerous practice called "gunwalking," and it put thousands of weapons on the street. Many were used in violent crimes in Mexico. Two were found at the murder scene of a U.S. Border Patrol agent.

"Grenade-walking" part of "Gunwalker" scandal
And this...
Worse Than Gunwalker? State Dept. Allegedly Sold Guns to ZetasPhil Jordan, a former CIA operative and one-time leader of U.S. Drug Enforcement Administrations El Paso Intelligence Center, claims that the Obama administration is running guns to the violent Zetas cartel through the direct commercial sale of military grade weapons:
Jordan, who served as director of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administrations El Paso Intelligence Center in 1995, said the Zetas have shipped large amounts of weapons purchased in the Dallas area through El Paso.

Theyve found anti-aircraft weapons and hand grenades from the Vietnam War era, Plumlee said. Other weapons found include grenade launchers, assault rifles, handguns and military gear including night-vision goggles and body armor.
More about State Department involvement...
has sources claiming Obamas man in the State Department, (former) Deputy Secretary of State Jim Steinberg, was the State Department operative who helped Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and the Department of Justice Deputy Attorney General David Ogden formulate the strategy that led to the tactics used in Operation Fast and Furious.Steinberg took office as Deputy Secretary of State on January 28, 2009
A little more than two years later, it was announced that Steinberg's time in the Obama State Department was over. From the New York Times, 30 March 2011:
Mrs. Clinton heaped praise on Mr. Steinberg, describing him as an indispensable partner. On every foreign policy challenge, big and small, he has helped formulate our policy and oversee its execution, she wrote. Mr. Steinberg, she said, played Oscar to Jack Lews Felix, referring to Jacob J. Lew, her other deputy, who left earlier this year to become Mr. Obamas budget director.

Sipsey Street Exclusive: "In at the beginning." The State Department & the Gunwalker Scandal.
I believe they are related. This occupation saw it as a twofer. Provide a foreign policy cover while supporting the Brady group. I am reminded of the Banality of Evil. I never fully bought into it until now. With this administration, I understand Hannah Arendt’s point.
I've not seen evidence of that but I keep an open mind.
And she got one of the major networks to actually air her reports.
For that she does deserve credit but the real question is why CBS aired it when the other networks didn't. THAT I'd like to know.
Don’t forget Money Walker and the immunities extended to Mexican drug cartel members to move drugs while you’re connecting dots.
I’ve seen lots of evidence of it. Attkinson has been on this almost from the beginning and she has reported a lot that no one else had before her.
Gunwalking was for the purpose of destroying the Second Amendment in America.
Dead Mexicans being great fodder for 0bama’s argument.
How you like them apples, Latinos?
If you search for "hillary multiple sale firearms" you'll get a lot of nebulous hits but the article above is pretty comprehensive. Her role seems to be to tie the "travesty" of US gun sales to Mexico to the international effort to infringe on the American Second Amendment in support of the UN Small Arms Treaty. I recall hearing reports of her support of the multi-state multiple gun sale reporting requirements as the news of the US sales just hit but it quickly faded after Brian Terry was killed. Spooky, huh?
Care to cite some?
Oh yeah! She's a real piece of work. Unlike some I would never think of Hillary as some kind of lesser evil than 0rookie. Thanks for the link.
"and that's the way it is ....
Hmmm. I thought you'd have an actual example of original reporting. As interested as I am in this, I really haven't the time to search through 13 pages of links then compare them to the work of David Codrea and the Sipsey Street folks to see who got there first. Apparently you don't either. So it goes...
Impeach Holder... and his boss too!.
On that, I'm sure we can agree. G'nite!
1. Operation Fast and Furious was walking firearms to Mexican narco gangs without the knowledge of the Mexican government.
2. Operation Castaway was walking firearms from the U.S. to Honduran MS-13 street gangs.
3. Various internal ATF operations have been walking guns to large American city street gangs (e.g. from Indiana gun shops to Chicago street gangs).
So far, two U.S. agents, Terry (Border Patrol) and Zapata (ICE), have been killed, over 150 to 200 Mexican LEOs killed, and thousands of Mexican citizens killed as collateral damage in Mexico.
The following agencies and departments are complicit in the subversion of two sovereign nations and growing violent crime in the United States.
1. White House — Pres Obama and staffers.
2. DoJ — AG Holder and staff.
3. BATFE — Administrator Melson and staffers.
4. DoS — Sec Clinton and staffers; violations of Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
5. FBI — Director Mueller and staffers; tampering with evidence of third gun in Agent Terry shooting because shooter was one of their Confidential Informants that infiltrated one of the cartels command structure
6. DEA — Administrator Leonhart and staffers.
7. DHS — Sec Napolitano and staffers.
8. IRS — Director Schulman and staffers.
What we have here is a criminal enterprise of U.S. government agencies and departments that qualify for RICO indictments. There has even been misappropriation of “stimulus” funds to purchase guns from U.S. dealers for walking into Mexico by government departments/agencies.
And no one thinks this is a PROBLEM?
Thank you for your summary!
RICO, right on the money.
Don’t forget the DEA was laundering drug money for the cartels as part of another ‘sting’...
