In Case You Don't Like Romney...
Columnist Andrew McCarthy gives us what probably is the most important question regarding the upcoming presidential election
If Romney wins the nomination, as seems very likely, I will enthusiastically support his candidacy. For my friends who may have hesitation on that score, Id just ask you to keep four things in mind:
1.. Justice Scalia just turned 78
2.. Justice Kennedy will turn 78 later this year
3.. Justice Breyer will be 76 in August
4.. Justice Ginsburg turned 81 about a week ago and has had cancer twice.
Whoever we elect as president in November is almost certainly going to choose at least one and maybe more new members of the Supreme Court in addition to hundreds of other life-tenured federal judges, all of whom will be making momentous decisions about our lives for decades to come.
If you dont think it matters whether the guy making those calls is Mitt Romney or Barack Obama, I think youre smokin something funky .
So for anybody who is thinking of not voting because your favorite didnt get nominated, or writing in a candidate who can't win ... just imagine this possibility:
'SUPREME COURT JUSTICE ERIC HOLDER'
Did that get your attention!
Wow! You’re going in there much bolder than I have been. Okay, I’ll agree with you to ask that He do this impossible thing. Thanks for the encouragement.
Geez, you’re exposing my ignorance because I’ve never read The Hobbit.
Shameful, I know.
If I knew how to make a link, I’d link you to Tom’s website. Google will get you there and when you read his platform and positions, you’ll see why I recommend him.
I think he’s legitimate and I don’t think he’s designing his positions to pander. That’s what I like about him.
I trust him.
Sorry Nana, NE Cons won’t be responding, he be DAID! LOL
‘First he wuz here, and then he wuz not,
Rest in Peace NE Cons, you dont got de ZOT!’
Not to obama but the office of presidency - God gives voters free will as to who we want to lead our country. So there are more godless than good in this world, the moral fabric of this country has been going down consistently for years - and that's not rocket science to know that. There are those who consider themselves Christians who voted for Obama. They aren't Christian, any more the cult leader Romney is. It is the godless of the world (which includes the media) who put obama into office and the godless again who wants to keep this nation under evil and not under God. They will get the misery they are fearful of - without God we are NOTHING, just like any other commie/socialistic or 3rd world country.
argh, “dont = done” ... ;)
You keep repeating that prattle with zero evidence or proof.
You also keep repeating you are a conservative but are happily promoting Romney who is: pro homosexual agenda, pro abortion, pro government mandates, pro taxing the wealthy more, pro welfare, pro government health care, anti conservative, anti Reagan, pro amnesty....no I am not going to provide links this information has been posted hundreds of times over the last five years.
This claim of yours that you are a conservative falls flat.
Windy, if you haven't had a chance to read this thread ... at least read Reset's extraordinarily apropos answer to a "huge Palin supporter" back when.
The players' jerseys are more important than their plays!
My money is on Calvin...
I should kiss your feet now?

I will, FRiend.
No, please forgive; my response was flippant but not meant to denigrate you. I saw Tom Hoefling’s name and, not being familiar with him, thought of Tom Bombadil and the “halflings”, otherwise known as hobbits.
All of this goes back to the 60’s when everyone was reading that stuff. Actually, they still do go to see the movies and buy them.
“You think ABO is the best way to deal with it; I think ABO is avoiding dealing with it altogether. “
Money sentence. I think you have encapsulated the divide on FR in one sentence. Good job.
I am in agreement with you. The problem isn’t Obama. The problem is the RINOs in our Congress, who are ball-less, non-conservatives, who will not stand up to Obama because they favor a lite version of all he believes. In RINOmney, they have a pied piper who can lead them to RINO-National-Healthcare (including $50 abortions), RINO-Civil-Unions, etc. THAT is what I believe is the greater threat.
The cry of ABO assumes that solves the biggest issue. It does not. I prefer having the enemy who isn’t one of ours over the enemy who is inside the camp and to whom allegiance is given.
Good post.

Well said.
There's a thread at F.R. with multiple thousands of posts and ongoing yet today, called the "Hobbit Hole".
It may have started out about Hobbits, I don't really know but now they talk about everything.
NAW...you are being singled out because FReepers don't like to be stalked...and having a "snitch" list is stalking, no doubt about it.
Bragging about having a "snitch" list is just plain stupidity.
BTW, Romney has taken this oath in the mormon temple numerous times....I suppose that's just fine with you.
You and each of you covenant and promise before God, angels, and these witnesses at this altar, that you do accept the Law of Consecration as contained in the Doctrine and Covenants, in that you do consecrate yourselves, your time, talents, and everything with which the Lord has blessed you, or with which he may bless you, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for the building up of the Kingdom of God on the earth and for the establishment of Zion.

Mormons covenant to put the church before ALL things.
THANK YOU ELSIE |
So, you’re saying “Begone from this thread and go elsewhere right now”?
