No, please forgive; my response was flippant but not meant to denigrate you. I saw Tom Hoefling’s name and, not being familiar with him, thought of Tom Bombadil and the “halflings”, otherwise known as hobbits.
All of this goes back to the 60’s when everyone was reading that stuff. Actually, they still do go to see the movies and buy them.

It may have started out about Hobbits, I don't really know but now they talk about everything.
You cannot be blamed for my ignorance. I’ve heard of the book and movie many, many times, but just never inhaled either.
I do think it important to be proud of our vote because it is an expression of our character and values. I understand why some folks might at times feel tempted to try to get real clever by voting for one unworthy candidate in an effort to evade another unworthy candidate, but such bank shots will by design lead to an unworthy result.
Voting is too important for such games. Win or lose, I’ll be proud of my vote and I won’t be looking back with regret.
