Over the last few days, since Romney clinched the GOP nomination for President by going over the 1,144 committed delegates needed with his win in the Texas Primary on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, a number of new endorsements have come in for Romney's bid for the Presidency.
These include George Shultz, former Secretary of State; Condoliza Rice, former Secretrary of State and National Security Advisor; Mike Huckabee, former Governor of Arkansas and presidential candidate; and Nancy Reagan, wife of President Ronald Reagan. Here's what each of them had to say on the date they endorsed Romney:

|
NANCY REAGAN endorses Mitt Romney (May 31, 2012) I offer my firm endorsement of Mitt Romney's campaign for president. Ronnie would have liked Gov. Romney's business background and his strong principles, and I have to say I do too. I believe Mitt Romney has the experience and leadership skills that our country so desperately needs, and I look forward to seeing him elected president in November. |

MIKE HUCKABEE endorses Mitt Romney (May 31, 2012) I was very careful and deliberate in not wanting to get involved in the process prior to somebody securing the nomination, largely because I play on both radio and television. I didnt feel it was appropriate for me to pick a Republican candidate. I dont think anyone doubted that I was going to support the Republican. But Mitt Romney has now earned it and I use that term very specifically. He worked hard to get it and therefore I think all Republicans and all conservatives need to rally around Gov. Romney. |

CONDOLIZA RICE endorses Mitt Romney (May 30, 2012) "We care about the future of this country, and the future of our world and Im delighted to join so many friends here in supporting, and in my case, endorsing, Gov. Mitt Romney for President of the United States. If America is going to rebuild its strength at home, rebuild its sense of who we are, it needs a leader that also understands how really exceptional the United States of America is, and is not afraid to lead on the basis of that exceptionalism. America's leadership is craved in this world, its understood in this world. The only thing the American people dislike more than weak leadership, is no leadership at all. And Governor Romney, you can bring it back." |

|
GEORGE SHULTZ endorses Mitt Romney (May 30, 2012) "What Mitt has done at Bain Capital has been a major contribution to the American economy. He has learned and instinctively can feel what it takes to get this huge amount of money that is sitting on the sidelines of our economy to move forward and be invested." |
I found Huckabee's statement interesting, and compelling, given the history.

You weren’t replying to me and my simple post to Jeff, you were using it to do the giant multi color collection of links and cut and pastes spamming that you do, you don’t need to use me to do that. You should have directed it at Jeff, please don’t post your stuff to me.
To: Jeff Head
quote “””God’s speed!””
You shouldn’t remind Christians that Romney is going to become a God according to him, and that he is from a family of men who will become Gods.
It reminds some that they cannot vote for him.

However, netmilsmom, I will grant you this - Mitt Romney has never stripped naked, eaten somebody else’s face, and been shot dead by the police. He has that going for him.
But ansel, that makes it so much more fun, don't you think?
Dear Yashcheritsiy, you are awesomely good at attributing motives to me.
But how do you know these things? Do you understand my heart, my love for the Logos? Do you understand what I think, how I reason, how I feel? Do you understand my life experiences, what they mean to me, and how they have helped me to grow after many wrong turnings by the Light of Christ, with the aid of the Holy Spirit all thanks and praise be to God Our Father Who Art in Heaven?
Hallowed be His Name, now and forever!
If you don't understand those things, then you don't know the first thing about me.
But here's a truth I have learned the hard way: We tend to see in others only what we see in ourselves. "If we misbehave, we suspect others." Beware of inadvertent "confessions of character."
I really wish you would stop trying to make this conversation "all about me." It just somehow looks like you're trying to "play God."
But do you know what God knows? Do you understand how He judges?
You seem to think you've "got all the facts." But if you can't fit them into a reasonable explanatory framework that matches up with the world of reality, both natural and spiritual, then those "facts" and any combination thereof are essentially meaningless.
And thus of no real help to you at all.
JMHO, FWIW.
Thank you for writing, dear Yashcheritsiy. May the Peace of Christ be with you.
Who's "attributing motives" to you? This is something you actually said. Not sure why you seem to think that we'll just blank out on something you said two days ago....
He drops out of the race.
Win.
Some altered opinions and many still disabused as well.
We are an impatient bunch. Vigorously political and given to projection.
The man with the delegate count is not yet nominated and we have projected past that as to how he will fly or fall. All just so much opinion as to potential or tendency. The fellow must make himself real like any of these functionaries. Only time will tell if his first concrete actions will yield a “no child left behind” moment or a response like Bush rose to after 9/11.
We have only to look at his strong words of the last six years contrasted against his actions in the nineties to see in one person the twin opposed expectations we show on this forum.
We must hold firm as with all functionaries and act only upon his real actions and firm stances taken.
I hope to see our nation's path made clear. I see no reason to hope for failure, turmoil and revolutionary chaos that seems to be the solace of some. I wish we had a more suitable tool but our mistaken tendency to make him a villain gives him the power to fail. Making him, as much as we are able, a representative of our opinions will yield many frustrations but also a few successes I expect.
The important thing will be that those actual failures and successes will have been tempered by the broad input from conservatives of all stripe and he will feel our input daily as we hold his feet to the fire.
Green is such an unflattering color for you, Yash.
Maybe those "principles" of yours will actually accomplish something someday when your sense of self-importance can finally get out the way long enough to let them.
Just as Obama would have it, too, Mr. Axelrod.
Getting a little scared there after your bitch-slapping in Boston the other day, are you?
What a revealing coincidence it is to see how all these anti-Romney folks happen to share the same goals as do other Obama supporters.
Very revealing, indeed.
Deal!
You asked the question, Mr. Willardbot, I gave you the answer. I don’t vote for liars, leftists, cheats, backstabbers, malignant narcissists and sociopaths. That rules out Zero and Willard.
BTW, for someone promoting the Tea Party in his posts pimping the worst Socialist RINO ex-Governor in the country for President is the height of hypocrisy.
Really? Tell us what you think about JR and freerepublic being anti-Romney, what does it reveal to you?
What a revealing coincidence it is to see how all these anti-Romney folks happen to share the same goals as do other Obama supporters.
Very revealing, indeed.
Yep!
Yeah, it’s real deep stuff.
Not supporting Mitt Romney means that FR is now some commie Obama site.
Romney could have St Peter on the ticket, and I still won’t get on board.
Obama:
"We have Romney working against you and Gov. Palin.
Romney hates women like Gov. Palin. Your conservatives in the GOP
have absolutely no chance with us in the DNC allied with Team Romney."
"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"
"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"
"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"
Yes; I was.
YOU wrote the "GODS" words, and I segued into the MORMON 'scripture' that PROVED what you said was true.
I am FINISHING the job that you merely alluded to.
It's team work!
Someone makes the claim; someone else backs it up.
Jeff is NOT going to reply to me, and you do not have to.
I'm fishing for any new lurkers to FR that have NEVER seen the things that I am posting.
Please; don't let my methods upset you so, as that is definitely NOT my intention.
MORMONism must be EXPOSED for the heresy that it is, and it's OWN writings is the best way to do it.
(Hey! NO colors in THIS reply to you! ;^)
Unlike MORMONism, where Someone makes a claim; someone else says, “You tell ‘em!”, but NEVER can back up a claim that MORMONism makes.
