To hell with the GOP-e. Barring a miracle, they got their big government, unconstitutional mandate loving, socialist abortionist Obama-lite RINO on the ballot, they can now get him elected.
We are the resistance!!
Shove him down our throats today, we shove him up your donkeys in November!!
I can see November from my house!!
Such a way with words!
I can’t in my right mind not vote or vote for Obama.
I just can’t do it
Then you’re a good man - Edmund Burke would rightfully be proud of you.
They are offering me Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi..
I want orange juice.
To say that Obama or Milt are my only options is false.
After an infinity of Heaven; how many souls COULD have been saved if MORMONism had not had a bully pulpit?
Where were those loyal conservative principles when they voted for McCain?
Hush!
You'll wake up the sheep!
Right now, the President of the United States of America is engaged in a war agains Christians, whites and the very freedoms that I pray my children will enjoy someday.....I will vote for the lesser of two evils and pray that the damage done to this country by this imposter can be undone...
With respect, I don’t see how any thinking person would imagine a worse President than Obama ESPECIALLY considering that he would get at least one, perhaps two Supreme Court nominees.
Yes, I know Romney isn’t a Conservative and his record on choosing judges is shaky to say the least, but do you REALLY think Romney’s choices would be worse than Obama’s?
And you do that by.....?
As much as I agree with you that it would be that cut-and-dried, it is not, and it never will be. If that is your criteria, you will never vote again.
Catherine,
I am but a human who will stand before Christ. You do what the Lord tells you to do. I am simply saying that in November if the choice before me is Obama or Romney, I will vote for Romney because I do believe he wants me and my children free. I cannot say that of Obama.
It is arresting to imagine a Romney White House, inevitably filled with as many former Bain colleagues as each of his other public ventures have been: The PowerPoints, the 80-20 jargon, the clinical separation of decision-making from ideology, the detachment of those decisions from moral consequence, a persistent blind spot for people as people. It would represent the final ascension of a perfectly American type, one that has already remade the culture of business. I once asked a Bain colleague of Romneys how Romney thought of his own core competence. I think Mitt thinks hes good at being Mitt Romney, the colleague said.
If this were true, Romney wouldn't be the nominee. McCain wouldn't have been the nominee. Neither would either Bush or Bob Dole.
If conservatives aren't enough to even be a controlling majority within the subset of voters that constitutes the GOP, how can they possibly be a controlling majority among voters as a whole? I will agree that an exceptional conservative candidate, one who is not only conservative but likeable, a great speaker, etc., can gain a majority. Reagain proved that. But candidates like that don't fall off the tree every election. The majority of the time, we have to get by with something less.
I remember when people sat at the Bush I reelection because he broke the tax pledge. We showed him. Clinton showed us.
I remember how dismayed people were with the selection of King Establishment, Bob Dole. “I’ll vote for him, but I can’t campaign for that guy”, they said. The most corrupt administration in modern history got a second term.
I remember when people sat out the McCain election because McCain is/was King RINO. We showed him. Obama showed us.
6 trillion dollars in deficits in 3.5 years and the wait till next time hardliners are gearing up for another tank job. Good grief.
When did conservatives become libertarians, with the attendant self marginalizing pissing contests?
Are people really willing to spend another 3 decades battling one another outside of the primaries and waiting to see how far left the Dems can drag the nation by the time we get done?
If we lose in the primaries, we lose and we should move on. It’s nobody’s fault but our own that conservatives couldn’t get their act together in the primaries. I’m not okay with Obama’s reelection. I don’t have any other political priorities for this November. At all. I’m not interested in accomplishing anything this fall other than his removal from office. You people can spend your time and resources on whatever else you like.
“Romney may suck, but to draw a moral equivalent between the two shows a lack of understanding or an unwillingness to believe in the depths that Obama will aim for in his second term to finally “Fundamentally Transform” America.”
Who’s the lesser of two evils is not the problem.
The problem is that half of the population rely on government for subsistance, one way or the other. They vote for big gubmint anyway.
The problem is, that if GOP wanted indeed to beat Obama, they wouldn’t pushed a Mass. Republican, a.k.a. a liberal, for whom “R” stands for “Reformer” for nomination.
The problem is that, without claiming it aloud, many Christian voters won’t choose a Mormon as president.
The problem is that Romney only “won” in blue states, which anyway vote for Obama in national election.
The problem is that Romney suxs.
Luke 18:11.....
“To say that Obama or Milt are my only options is false.”
Oh...Really???
Only if you’re leaving America!
WHAT is your “other” option, if you stay?
“Not because I want to, but but because I have to. Im just as conservative as the next person here, but frankly an unchecked second Obama term without him fearing re-election scares me to death.” — I know, my feelings exactly
