There’s still a nasty, bitter 1970s vintage radical feminist lurking inside our secretary of state. In that office, Hillary Clinton is supposed to represent all of the people of the United States. Instead, she makes a grotesque link between real and brave freedom activists who risk all fighting for basic human rights outside the US, and Sandra Flukes demanding subsidized sex lives inside the US.
Clinton said women in the Middle East — even in the United States — must fight for their rights:
“Now, we know that young woman in Tunisia and her peers across the region already are facing extremists who will try to strip their rights, curb their participation, limit their ability to make choices for themselves. Why extremists always focus on women remains a mystery to me. But they all seem to. It doesnt matter what country theyre in or what religion they claim. They want to control women. They want to control how we dress, they want to control how we act, they even want to control the decisions we make about our own health and bodies.”
Clinton’s apparent reference to the “reproductive rights” controversy involving a Georgetown University law student was met with applause.
“Yes, it is hard to believe that even here at home, we have to stand up for womens rights and reject efforts to marginalize any one of us, because America needs to set an example for the entire world,” Clinton said. “And it seems clear to me that to do that, we have to live our own values and we have to defend our own values. We need to respect each other, empower all our citizens, and find common ground.”
Common ground on her terms, of course. That “common ground” means that you pay for whatever she and her leftist friends want you to pay for, whether you find it morally unconscionable or not. That is Hillary Clinton’s definition of “common ground.” And so is this — Hillary’s regime buried a mandate forcing Americans to pay surcharges for elective abortions, in ObamaCare. Mandates within mandates, all in violation of our rights, passed via bribes along purely partisan lines against the wishes of the majority of Americans. Some “common ground.” It’s really just a milder form of tyranny.
Yet reading words on the page doesn’t quite deliver the venom that Clinton intended to deliver. Watch the video of her remarks. Link Here
Wormtongue has nothing on Hillary Clinton. You can see in the video that Clinton knows exactly what she is saying, and she relishes saying it. She relishes calling anyone who opposes her regime’s mandates “extremists” and linking us with the worst and most brutal figures in the world.
This is vile, especially coming from a US secretary of state. It insults Americans for the sake of petty politics. It degrades the office that she holds.
Hillary Clinton has lately convinced many even on the right that she would have been a better president than Barack Obama. Personally I’ve never bought into that idea. She is no less of an ideologue than Obama. She is no less of an Alinskyite, she just isn’t as good at the game as Obama is. Her only claim to fame is that she married well, in the sense that she married a man who achieved the highest office in the world. Apart from that, she wasn’t a good Senate candidate and she turned out to be a weak candidate for the presidency. She has been a lousy ambassador for the nation, by turns incompetent and lacking in any sense of America’s history. Like her president, when she could choose to unite Americans, she chooses to divide us.
For what it’s worth, though, Hillary’s isn’t the language of someone who is confident in her position. It’s the language of someone who knows she is defending a losing position, and is willing to grab any weapon at hand to defend it.
Not suprisingly, Hillary presents the view from the wrong side of the debate.
We SHOULD subsidize the contraceptives for liberals.
It would mean less liberals over time, ergo, more conservatives.................
if you oppose communist health care rules you want to ‘control women’
if you oppose communist EPA rule you must want dirty water
if you opposed communist Education ruls you must hate children
if you oppose communist Obamacare you must want old people to get sick and die
I see...
you are only a good person if you support communism, correct?
I’m overweight. So, how about I demand that someone else pay for my gym membership, pay for my gym clothes, pay for special ‘balanced’ meals, pay for a ‘personal trainer’, demand that I be paid by my employer to take time off to go to the gym, or that my employer pay for a Lapband?
Or, how about I take some personal responsibility for my life’s choices, and do this myself? Over-eating, or promiscuity are both life-choices. I suggest we each take personal responsibility for our choices, but I’m apparently in the minority (at least in the minds of the MSM).
“We need to respect each other, empower all our citizens, and find common ground”
When someone, especially a feminist, brings the word, “empower” into the discussion, I’m outta there.
If you stone a woman to death or throw acid on her or mutilate her, Hillary will turn her head and ignore it. But if you don’t want to pay for her birth control, Hillary will be outraged.
I could go along with spending tax money on their birth control under these terms:
If they agree to be spayed like alley cats we will agree to pay for the procedure with tax money.
It would be a good thing for America.
What happened to the concept of insurance as protection against unforeseen calamity? Contraception isn’t medically necessary and there is nothing whatsoever “unforeseen” about the potential consequences of unprotected sex.
Taxpayer funding of devices and procedures that make an optional activity safer — that’s what we’re dealing with here.
For those who don’t understand why socialist medicine is immoral, this is one of the results that should help them see the light.
Next I’ll be paying for someone else’s dinner and a movie. Someone’s vacation cruise. Someone’s three square meals a day. Their children’s education (oh, wait...)
This is socialism. You’re your brother’s keeper, your vampire’s host. Logically there’s nothing to prevent your being obliged to donate your organs, when the government sees a pressing need for them.
It isn’t this one provision that needs to be challenged, it’s the entire system of government-regulated health care.
This was inevitable from the moment the first hospital was required to treat the first patient who couldn’t pay them.
How about FREE VASECTOMIES for ALL liberals?..............
Hah! Only if it's "extreme" to oppose PAYING for, or even HEARING about women's sex lives. It's tasteless and boring to keep harping on it (hence the messenger). Contraception/Abortion is NOT a "Health Care" component. The sophistry has failed.
I'm sure Paula Jones, Gennifer Flowers, Juanita Broaddrick, Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp would agree.
H3ll’s a dyke. What the hell would she know?
Are women not able to control themselves?
H3lls a dyke. What the hell would she know?
I bet she always has a good supply of batteries on hand.
(I couldn’t resist that).
Hey hillary, you buffarillo. If we’re paying the bill then we can set the terms of use. That’s always been democrat socialist SOP.
Maybe the “extremists” seeking “control” are the sluts (term used advisedly) who want to control taxpayer money for extremely risky behavior.
But then, the very concept of the type of Feminism, which Hillary & Bill actively promoted, is a delusional attack on the reality of life: See Feminist Delusion.
The idea that men & women are somehow competing interest groups lies at the bottom of the resentment that Hillary manifests. But all the observable dynamics of life itself demonstrate that we are essential complements, both necessary for the very continuum of human existence. We need each other!
Nothing more clearly illustrates the lunacy that the modern Left embraces, than the idea that women are a separate interest group. (I know the idea of a war between the sexes was an ancient comedy plot concept; but Hillary is serious. She isn't laughing!)

A protest that will never happen.
Oh gosh . . . do Democrats really think that women are this stupid?
