Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles.
We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior.
Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love.
Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:
I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, andfamouslyI enjoy making enemies.
Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in. Ive lost friends, perhaps dozens. But Ive gained hundreds, thousandswho knows?of allies. At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night.

Rest In Peace Andrew.
Prayers to the family.
I am in total shock.
From Matt Drudge -
“DEAR READER: In the first decade of the DRUDGEREPORT Andrew Breitbart was a constant source of energy, passion and commitment. We shared a love of headlines, a love of the news, an excitement about what’s happening. I don’t think there was a single day during that time when we did not flash each other or laugh with each other, or challenge each other. I still see him in my mind’s eye in Venice Beach, the sunny day I met him. He was in his mid 20’s. It was all there. He had a wonderful, loving family and we all feel great sadness for them today... MDRUDGE “
He wouldn't have been my first thought.... so God, please really forgive me.
I’m in total shock. What a loss to our movement. RIP Andrew.
Who called 911? When? How long had he been under coronary stress? Is there a security video of his walking past something? Was he going to meet someone? Where was his family? What had he done yesterday? If he had heart problems, was he on medication? Which, if so? Had he had a stent or something?
He collapsed on the street? Where? Why was he there? What/who is near his home?
And your not willing to consider any other scenarios?
They got M. Monroe.
Okay...
I truly feel like I have lost a personal friend.
Orson Bean was his FIL...I guess the same Orson Bean of To Tell the Truth and Dr. Quinn fame. I didn’t know that.
I have this vague recollection of him taking time off when he lost a brother, also at an early age... I can’t find anything on the net now, though.
Bless your soul, Andrew. You are sadly mourned and missed.
What natural or unnatural causes would cause ventriculation?
This is what I sent out this morning to my email lists:
I am in total shock!!!
Andrew Breitbart dead at the age of 43. !!! [Leaves a wife and 4 children]
One of my “happy warrior” allies-in-the-trenches, with the same enemies that I have, has died. This is an incalculable loss, as far I’m concerned! ... RIP Andrew! Prayers for his family and friends.

Andrew is at rest, yet the happy warrior lives on, in each of us.
I said the “powers that be COULD pull this off”. I assumed most would understand that I’m putting out ONE scenario to consider.
Well I refuse to get into conspiracy stuff.
However, I will say I have seen him on RedEye when he seemed extremely hung over or sleep deprived. Maybe he was just too stressed and his heart could not take it?
Huge loss. Wow. Stunned.
Given the number of enemies he had, I hope they are treating this as a possible homicide, although the immediate claim that he died of “natural causes” makes it seem that’s not the case...
Unless the people close to him are supposed to claim it’s natural causes while police investigate...
After Vince Foster, it is natural for many to not discount the possibility of foul play. There are a number of ways to trigger a heart attack, and Breitbart had powerful enemies.
Especially since it's just three weeks ago that we had this thread Andrew Breitbart just dropped this bomb on Team Obama: I got video of Barack Obama from college.
