Please don’t get me wrong, RitaOK. I’m all in for Newt. I know how much he needs Santorum supporters to vote for him in Florida. But I know some Santorum supporters, and they will not be persuaded to vote for Newt to stop Romney by dissing their guy or dissing them.

Newt has been careful not to trash any other GOP candidate except Romney (who deserves it). I think, in part, that this is what helped him win Rick Perry’s endorsement. And it’s about to pay off for Newt big time, as some of Perry’s high-dollar contributors have been in discussions with the Gingrich camp about making donations to Newt’s campaign.

It’s a cliche, but it still rings true. You can attract many more flies with honey than you can with vinegar.

Just watch. Now Mitt’s supporters will tell Santorum supporters that some guy on FR called them “a bunch of flies.”

Aside from that - and not to diminish it, that alone disqualifies Romney ion my book - Romney's s\"substantive" banter is generic. He has no specifics. On health care, he contradicts himself, by saying he's going to return health care decisions "to the people" (I don't think he says that, exactly), while he defends the model he put in place in Massachusetts.

What really blows my mind is how much of the weight of the GOP is standing behind the empty suit liar.

Something was definitely very odd about the placement of the microphones. It sounded like there were very few people clapping in the audience most of the time, but someone's (Callista's?) very slow and loud clap was heard over all others every time. I agree that she should sit down after being introduced.

C-Span is so leftist. Have you ever noticed how there just happens to be a handy microphone right near any protesters at a Republican event? Tonight they never showed the audience, not even when they sang Happy Birthday to someone in it. It must have been a big audience which C-Span does not want Americans to know about.

Newt Gingrich needs to hire a health coach and then do what he can to improve his stamina. Campaigning for President is a long exhausting experience for anyone. He's almost 70, extremely overweight and seemingly out of shape. He gave a great speech tonight. I hope he doesn't collapse.

Bella has lived several years past her expected life expectancy. Rick wife was a neo-natal nurse. So they took the baby home “to die” but because of the love and care she has lived. A very fragile life yes, but surrounded by her loving parents and brothers and sisters.....

His daughter Bella has a genetic condition that is worse than Downs syndrome. She was not expected to live but a couple of weeks after birth. She is now 3 yrs old. They also had another child that died at birth. So sad.

You might be better off going to his facebook pages, and posting sincere comments there, so supporters can read them and understand, and maybe have their hearts changed regarding their vote. And pass those page addresses to others you know. I have found people of FR to be very persuasive in any number of ways... I have that on my to-do list tomorrow...

Romney the wonk! The number cruncher, the manager, the delegator, the appointer...think how many more czars we’d get if Romney won! He’s Algore in a Romney skin, and that’s the last thing we need in the White House in times like these.

I’m totally amazed at the genius of these 3 men: West, Cain and Gingrich. I hate to admit that Newt had me tearing-up with his eloquent commentary. He truly is the great communicator. No wonder the establishment GOP is afraid of him. Wow.

Well said. I especially teared up at his conclusion, when he said "I pledge my life, my fortune, and my sacred honor." I teared up because I believe him. We've been given the seed of a blessing tonight, and it was planted in fertile soil. Will it be allowed to bloom? We may not get another chance.
