A team of salvage divers has discovered an unexplained object resting at the bottom of the Baltic Sea near Sweden.
"This thing turned up. My first reaction was to tell the guys that we have a UFO here on the bottom," said Peter Lindberg, the leader of the amateur treasure hunters.
Sonar readings show that the mysterious object is about 60 meters across, or, about the size of a jumbo jet. And it's not alone. Nearby on the sea floor is another, smaller object with a similar shape. Even more fascinating, both objects have "drag marks" behind them on the sea floor, stretching back more than 400 feet.
"Could this be the Star Wars Millenium Falcon, a plug to an inner world or a marine version of Stonehenge?" asks CNN's Brooke Bowman:

I think I can clear this up. What we have here is a “Round Tuit”. For many years, our wives have asked us when we were going to get a “Round Tuit”, and we had no good answer to give them. But now, we can explain that the reason we haven’t gotten a “Round Tuit” yet is because it’s at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. Any other questions?
Yeah well I am so old I remember when country music was country. LOL
Gives new meaning to those Bone Collector stickers on all those 4x4 trucks.
Could it be nobama’s birth certificate?
Yep. IT is owned by an ABC/NBC consortium. I used to really like it, but all the “reality” shows that have no historical significance, like Axemen, IRT, etc ahve turned me off. I still watch it when Modern Marvels is on (and not repeating), though it too ahs succumed to the “climate change” crap.
I also used to watch SciFi until NBC ruined it.

Don’t some sci-fi/horror movies start that way?
How deep was the water? If you can tell me the depth, I can generate a number for the dying ships speed when it hit the bottom. All the other values, except gross tonnage are constants.
The shape of the wreck reminds me of a picture of a sunken oil drilling ship complete with it's detachable platform.
You and I are on the same page. We were watching that show, and I told my wife if aggressive aliens ever showed up we'd be dead instantly -- either biological, nano, or some other tech that targets whatever lifeform you want eradicated. There'd be no fight -- none.
I agree. If either of you read David Weber, that's how he had the aggressive aliens wipe out the populous. Develop a virus, seed the atmosphere and vioci, there you go, nice clean world to inhabit.
But is it really wrong of me to hope that one day we'll get to see a real UFO? :-)
It is just as likely the aliens would find our planet uninhabitable, filled with viruses and bacteria that they have no immunity to. H.G. Wells all over again.
They don't even need a virus, let alone fancy weapons. All they'd need would be a very L-O-U-D sustained noise. Sounds that are loud enough can kill people. Or drive them mad.
For about 12 years now, I've had a recurring dream (only once or twice a year) with the same theme: My sweetheart and I are outdoors on a beautiful day, people are picnicking, boating, having fun, and all of the sudden the sky becomes alive with beautiful fripperies -- not fireworks, but beautiful phenomenon, almost like ribbons, colorful and festive. Everyone looks up and all are charmed, delighted, because clearly this is a show put on for our entertainment. The fripperies are soon accompanied by a VAST spaceship with smaller ships around it, and about 90 percent of the people are excited because it appears that extraterrestrial aliens have announced themsevles in such a friendly way, clearly meaning no harm.
Meanwhile, we and a small handful of others realize that this is a very bad thing, and immediately head for underground labyrinths of caves and tunnels -- we always seem to know where they are and head straight for them. Details have varied from dream to dream, but the basics are always the same -- it always happens near a largish body of water -- a lake or a bay -- and we smart few escape underground while the gullible majority joyously embrace the arrival of these aliens. In one of the dreams, I remember, as I started to head underground into the labyrinth, I looked up at the sky one last time and wondered how long it would be -- how many generations it would be -- before people were able to surface again safely.
The dream puzzled me -- why underground? About a year ago, I came up with a theory: underground would be one place people could escape being bombarded with skull-exploding sound.
Hey, it's just a dream, and I haven't had it for awhile, but, for what it's worth!
Right. Much more likely to be aliens. Thanks AF!

Oh, hell, it’s the Tommyknockers. Lock up the soda machines!
Nah. Any Culture warship worth its salt would simpily displace a solar effector into the sun and change its output or make it go nova from several light years away.
THANKS FINNY,
Your dreams are most fitting and plausible and quite congruent with those of many the last 10 years or so.
I’m curious how many on our END TIMES LIST have had some
END TIMES WW3 or other massive END TIMES calamity sorts of dreams or visions that you’d be willing to share.
Perhaps someone could start a thread for such or share such here???
I hate when that happens... I am not personally familiar with Mr. Cussler’s works beyond his obvious popularity. The same thing happened with a crime fiction writer I enjoy though - after the war started I noticed the books became more and more politically charged (just bits here and there, but enough that I noticed it). I used to like the books a lot, and now I just pass up the name when I’m looking for something new (or to get an old hardback).
Thanks for the ping!
