Palin says not too late to consider presidential run
Reuters 15 hrs ago
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Tea Party champion Sarah Palin, who has already ruled out a 2012 presidential run, on Monday attempted to dangle her name anew as a possible Republican candidate, although it's probably too late.
In an interview to air on Fox Business Network's "Follow the Money" program, the 2008 Republican nominee for vice president was asked whether she would still consider a run for the White House.
"It's not too late for folks to jump in," Palin said. "Who knows what will happen in the future."

-——its repulsive throwing mud at a proven fighter and conservative——
I’m not throwing mud. There is no wrath. There is just reality.
I’m posting the American consensus. Her failure to act in late summer killed her chances. Her excellence and dedicated conservatism are now overcome by her inability to act regardless of the cause.
In the current campaign she is no longer a viable factor
I shouldn’t have used the word “emotional”-—my fault. I think worshipful would be more accurate, since I completely agree with you that emotion goes together with patriotism. You’re also right that it wasn’t about her, but about the country and its ideals. But, with all respect, the rest of your post serves to illustrate my point. I bought the media’s Alinskyite tactic? Huh?
Like I said, I would have been glad to vote for Sarah, and I still like her. But I don’t have a lot of patience when folks tell me I turned against her, etc., because I got tired of her waffling and found another candidate. As for attacking Newt, I haven’t seen a lot of that. What I have seen is the vetting process of a primary season. I myself don’t trust Newt. If that’s seen as an attack against him, well...I guess it will have to be that.
Ron Paul?
No thanks. He’s the worst of the bunch, and I have doubts as to whether he still has control of his mental faculties, giving that bizarre, childish comment about Michele Bachmann on Leno’s show.
There is nothing in Ron Paul’s statements or ideology that gives me any cause to believe he is interested in a buildup to military predominance. Rather he prefers the opposite — a minimalist military, with no global reach or global presence. Plus, a guy whose foreign policy stances are to the left of Obama will never get my vote.
You want to vote for Paul, go for it, but I’m not ever going along for that ride.
If Romney is the Republican nominee, I will be calling for Palin to run 3rd party the day after he clinches the nomination.
Can’t me in on that one!! And I think that’s what they are afraid of. Newt has my support while I stomp hard on Mitt and all his venom.
Could be she was waiting for the LWM to knock off all the rest of the “not Ronmey” folks so that she would not violate the Reagan commandment to not criticise your fellow Republican.
Like I said earlier, Perry is my candidate, but Santorum would definitely be my second choice. I agree with you, credentials are necessary. Look at what we have in the White House now——a bumbling fool whose only experience is rabble-rousing in the streets of Chicago, and the results have been ugly. I would hold my nose and vote for Newt if necessary, just to get Obama out. But I can’t cast a vote for Romney. He has blood on his hands, and I will not be a party to that.
“You gotta be kidding me. NOBODY runs for President because “duty calls.” People run for President because they have unbelievably massive egos and want the job.”
You’re kidding ME aren’t you, right?
Was there ever a president who was motivated to serve their county, George Washington included? Is every public official in it for the perks? Are you really as cynical as you sound?
I’m so very ashamed of myself for that post. I understand Paul has claimed the Wiki leaker, Bradley, is a patriot. Reinforces my original and accurate view of the man as a dangerous loon.
To all you Paulbots out there, be informed I will not support Paul under any circumstances. Thank God his own words prevented me from making a foolish and potentially disastrous presidential vote.
I’m hoping for a brokered convention situation from which a real conservative will emerge as the GOP pres. candidate. I will not vote for Gingrich, Romney or Perry under any circumstances.
That you characterize “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” by the pejorative “Reality Show” gives me pause about you and where you stand.
If the term fits, then all the previously named shows of that genre should be called “Unreality Shows” with their artificial situations and their focus on the most base and tawdry of human behaviors.
The Palin family and their Alaska was shown to be quite the opposite of anything you would expect to see on the tube.
Did the Gipper have a reality show too in your estimation?
From my FR piece
(Vanity) First Take on Sarah Palin's "Going Rogue":
"...Finally, around the time I have stopped reading, Palin describes her time as Lieutenant Governor, her association with the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (AOGCC), and her run for governor. This section of the book is a veritable gold mine, but it is worth touching on a few salient lines and points along the way. The most interesting thing politically, is that the FBI executed a number of search warrants related to corrupt legislators, relating to oil-and-gas interests. The next most interesting thing, is that Sarah was stonewalled by a number of people -- including the head of the AOGCC, the governor, the attorney general -- in getting to the bottom of the corruption. Her response was telling (p.99):
"I knew what I had to do, so I resigned -- stepping away from the ethical lapses and hierarchical blinders to effect change where I could--on the outside." "
Oh. Sh*t.
Do you suppose?
“Somebody like me — is a title and is a campaign too shackling? Does that prohibit me from being out there, out of a box, not allowing handlers to shape me and to force my message to be what donors or what contributors or what political pundits want it to be? Does a title take away my freedom to call it like I see it and to effect positive change that we need in this country? ... You don’t need a title to make a difference, truly.”-Sarah Palin
She said this right before she announced that she wasn’t launching a campaign for president on October 5th. If she has nixed the idea of a campaign and embraced the idea of being an outsider, what do you think she is really going to do with her time other than try to renew another season of Sarah Palin’s Alaska Travelogue?
She has been rejecting the GOP. Where does she go, now?
Do you think Ailes is happy with her and he’s going to renew her contract after she announced her decision not to run on Mark Levin’s show instead of on FoxNEWS?
She already said a third party run is out.
Where does Palin go from here?
She's been *remarkably* good about holding her own counsel; to the point that she even surprised many of her *detractors* when she announced she was not going to run.
No cheers, unfortunately.
I am utterly P.O.'d that the spineless p*ssies, closet queers, and libs which have infested the GOP failed to stand up for her during the onslaught; and co-opted the rest of the party into joining their conspiracy of alternating backstabbing, damning with faint -- very! faint -- praise, and silence.

I won’t vote for Mitch. Not after his stated Indiana smoking ban.
Yup.
Interesting how you had to go all the way down to President #1 for an example, eh? And while I'm sure, based on the historical record, Washington was more altruistic and duty-minded than the whole lot of Presidents who followed, he was not without his ego, either.
