I shouldn’t have used the word “emotional”-—my fault. I think worshipful would be more accurate, since I completely agree with you that emotion goes together with patriotism. You’re also right that it wasn’t about her, but about the country and its ideals. But, with all respect, the rest of your post serves to illustrate my point. I bought the media’s Alinskyite tactic? Huh?

Like I said, I would have been glad to vote for Sarah, and I still like her. But I don’t have a lot of patience when folks tell me I turned against her, etc., because I got tired of her waffling and found another candidate. As for attacking Newt, I haven’t seen a lot of that. What I have seen is the vetting process of a primary season. I myself don’t trust Newt. If that’s seen as an attack against him, well...I guess it will have to be that.

I think worshipful would be more accurate,

Yeah, it's really the same - it was separating what she stands for and making her the target. Again, the media pissant lie. Not only smearing her but her supporters - straight from the pit. It was and still is occurs here. I read it all from having her on a pedestal to quit, to take a pill, to get a grip and everything in between. I laugh at their angst at just the mention of her name - if you get bored and want some laughs - start a thread and watch the 'rats come running out of their hole. It's all from the pit and all against 'WeThePeople', Out Country and Constitution.

I supported no candidate. Sarah raised the bar to where it should be - so I watched the debates completely unbiased. I didn't know any of them - only Mitt who always was a snake and Newt and it wasn't favorable. I actually enjoyed watching because I had no dog in the race. I saw what I wouldn't have if I was routing for one - and this last debate I'm now a supporter of Newt. I like Santorum and Perry and, IMO, those 3 should be the only ones in the debates because they have the credentials to run for presidency. However, as a complete package Newt is the one - not only to beat barry but to carry out what needs to be done. And Perry and Santorum will be great assets to his admin. Perry knows the illegal problem more than anyone, IMO. And, yes, the libs and the GOP establishment are very much trying to bring Newt down along with mitt's backstabbing campaign behind the scenes.
