I so tire of people saying: "Well, I like Herman Cain, but, he can't win." Well, I think the Florida Presidential Poll yesterday said differently. Cain received more votes than Perry-winkle and Rino Romney put together:
Cain: 37%
Perry: 15%
Romney:14%
And Perry worked his butt off and spent a lot of money. The Floridians ate the dummy's free breakfast, endured his perfunctory speech and then went and voted for someone who actually has some ideas and can put a sentence together and explain his ideas. I think it's time for Herman Cain to be taken seriously.
And if Palin were in the mix??? Just curious.....
I was in the Perry boat previously but I have jumped ship for Cain. I think it would be awesome to have Cain be our next President!!
The more I hear his message, the more I like him!
Months ago I argued many times on this board that in 2012, someone like him could possibly do it. (Perhaps you did too). These are different times and with the tea party, the internet, blogs, talk radio, etc - candidates can get big time over night - and they can fall over night.
Case in point: Cain probably picked up a ton of ex Perry support at the last minute - leads him to win this prominent event - and now suddenly he’s everywhere again.
Will he win? Who knows, but I think this proves at least that it’s possible. This puts to rest the worn out thinking of the 80’s and 90’s about who can, and who cannot, possibly win.
Cain/Palin.

People who say this by and large really do not THINK Herman Cain cannot win. They DO NOT WANT Herman Cain to win. I am convinced.
"But(t) monkeys". That's all they are. They use up too much FR bandwith with their naysaying. Fuggedaboutit...
I like Herman a lot but let’s not overstate a poll that he got about 450 votes for, all of which he had to pay for.
A blockbuster sized crowd attended Herman Cain’s meet and greet Friday night, forcing a last minute venue change to double the room size. People didn’t show up to eat Cain’s free food (there wasn’t any). They didn’t show up to stuff bags with free trinkets (Cain campaign buttons, signs and t-shirts were for sale, and every last item was purchased).
I would vote for Cain in a heartbeat. He has something that most of the others don’t.... common sense. His gut has better advice thank all the political advisers. I also think he would be great at shaking up the status quo. From listening to him speak, I doubt he would put up with the BS that is going on in DC for long before the firing starts.
I can support Cain over Perry and Romney the battling establishment crony politicians, but he needs to drop his national sales tax proposal. Imagine what the Dems will do with it once they regain power!
Why cant we simplify the tax code at say, 15% flat tax with no exemptions on all income? Capitol Gain, personal, and corporate?
But let's be realistic: one debate and one straw poll does not a party candidate make.
What his victory proves is that the "conventional wisdom" that this is a two person race between Perry/Romney is wrong.
And THAT is why the lamestream media isn't talking about Cain's victory yesterday; it smacks the pundits and media in the face telling them that the American People won't have their candidate dictated to them.

Me too. It's so refreshing to have a genuine private citizen in contention, instead of the typical career politicians. Somehow I have to believe this is what the founding fathers envisioned.
Big Media is spinning Cain’s FL win as a “vote for none of the above.”
They certainly don’t seem to fear Cain as much as they do Palin. No cowardly attacks on Cain, and based upon their history with any other black conservatives, they’re not holding back because of his skin color.
Big Media doesn’t seem to perceive Cain as a threat to Hussein, and I’m guessing it’s based upon the racist Dem voters, who will hold their noses and re-elect Hussein rather than trusting a black conservative that they’re trained to hate the most.
Nothing against Cain, but if winning a straw poll predicts a general election outcome, Ron Paul would have been elected president about 20 times now.
Cain is well-liked, but does not have politcal experience.
His win in the Florida Straw Poll NOW proves he can win in the political arena.
It is as simple as that...many people were just waiting for Cain to prove himself, politcally.
