Shep just admitted they were manipulated:
The speech was designed for 43 minutes without applause so that there would be little time for analysis. It ran 32 minutes with applause so Shep says the WH put out a statement on a “specific and credible threat to the homeland” to take up the remaining time.
Though Obama always tries to manipulate and no doubt scheduled the timing to take up the most airtime, personally I think Shep’s a little too enamored with conspiracy theories.
CNN is pushing the “threat” hard right now, I read it on Drudge about 4 hours ago, “Big Sis has heard a lot of chatter out there”.
It was smart for the Republicans to stand pat tonight with no rebuttal. You can’t rebut a campaign speech.

Those were not Pubs in the front row. Obama and his minions stacked Dems in the front row to make it look like Pubs were clapping too at his speech. Those were Dems. One of them was Geithner. Nice little trick, eh? Put Dems in the front row so that to the camera it would look like the Pubs were on board with this *sshole’s speech too. Very cute stunt.
