With fees you have a choice. If you do not like the fee to use state parks do not use them. If you do not like the fee for cigarettes don't smoke, but do not make me pay for the things that you want with higher taxes, (I may not use or want them}. I think that is a good way to deal with it. I think they should apply it to other things like alcohol as someone mentioned earlier.

I’ve seen “fees” on our utility bills for things we never asked for.

I want somebody who is interesting and exciting, got that old fire in the belly. Some people dont like Perry, and he has some warts, but Id vote for him in a heartbeat. I mean, Perry/Bachmann would be my dream ticket at this point. That could work, if she could could change his mind on that southern border, the dream act, in state tuition for illegals et al. She might be able to work towards a real fence instead of an electronic fence... LMAO

Everyone is a Romneybot unless they state over and over again that they hate the man as much as Diogenesis does. Of course they're a Romeybot.....that's a no-brainer....though doubtful any "hate" Romney they simply hate all that he represents....both on the surface and beneth the facade.

Sarah’s not in yet so she doesn’t even pertain to the question at hand. Gingrich and Santorum help to pint out Obama’s failings. Paul can go. The nutty baggage isn’t worth the good. Romney can go to.

Pawlenty just blew it with attacks on Bachmann instead of Romney, which made him look weak. A stupid move if you ask me. I agree. That turned me off of him. She was right to defend her vote. I'm glad she got to explain why she voted the way she did. It made him look like a jerk.

The real jump-the-shark moment for Pawlenty was when he tried to assert that Bachman was unfit for POTUS because of migraine headaches. It was a low blow and smacked of sexism.

You need to get yourself a swarm of the mosquito’s natural predator: The Dragonfly.
In order to attract a swarm of dragonflies, you need milkweed or wild mustard.

I beg to differ, on the authority of Herman Cain, who said that T-Paw was one of the nicest of the candidates, and that he wished him well.
Look, I'm not here to take Cain to task. He'll have to be responsible for his own comments in light of what Pawlenty did. Whether he made this comment subsequent to Pawlenty's attack on Bachmann or not, I would have to differ. Granted that I know very little about Pawlenty, but I thought this revealed a real lapse in his grasp of what Bachmann and other actual "Conservatives" have been up against in Congress.
His over the top comment that she should stop trying to support Conservative causes because she was supposedly killing Conservatives, simply destroyed him for me. I have witnessed far too many people supposedly on our side of the isle try to destroy our own, to countenance another one of them doing it, and then support them after that.
This wreaks of the same sort of stench created by John McCain when he trashes Tea Party members or Conservatives. I can't support a guy with that little character, grasp of reality, or sense of loyalty to fellow travelers.
I'm not trying to be critical of you or Cain here. You're a good guy and I have a lot of respect for Cain.
I saw T-Paw at the Right Online conference in Minneapolis recently, and you can tell he needs severe testosterone injections. His attacks on Bachmann were a desperate attempt to gain traction: he was a decent gov (backed down the then-DFL-controlled legislature on taxes) though a squish on environmental issues; and, his true Achilles' heel, as exciting as watching paint dry.
I think we both agree on parts of this, and I'm not informed enough to comment on the other areas. If you say he was a decent enough governor, I'll take your word for it. It does sound like he had his problems, but I won't try to make hay off that. He may have had some bright sports too. I don't want to try to characterize him further.
Cheers!
Cheers to you too. I appreciate you bringing some other information and thoughts to the topic.

I agree with you that his attack on Bachmann during the debate ruined his chances with me: as the legendary Mrs. Whiskers said, "You don't pick on the girl. Pick on the press like Newt did, or go after Romney or go after Obama. But you're fellow Minnesotans, from the same party. Don't attack each other. Say that you like what she's done but you think you're better."
Which is why I think it was his equivalent of a ball-on-your-own-six-yard-line-no-timeouts-left-fourth-and-twenty-three-with-five-seconds-left Hail Mary pass.
When it not only gave no boost, but boomeranged, he *had* to drop out.
Cheers!

I didn’t like Pawlenty’s attempt to blame Bachmann for congressional failures as if she had more than one vote. She fought hard and did what she could.

I think the law is, you don’t run unless you already got the seed money in the BANK and I don’t think he did. I think some of these colossal egos think if they just get out there and connect with the “peepul”, the money will come. It doesn’t. The money has to come before.

Thanks. I agree with your views and the views of the legendary Mrs. Wiskers too. Exactly right.
I was surprised to see him this out, this soon though. Wow.
He must have gotten a heap of blistering negative responses to his tactics the other night.
