President Obama let his frustration over the stalled debt talks seep into an address on Latino issues on Monday, confessing that hed like to bypass Congress and change the laws on my own.
He told the National Council of La Raza, Believe me, the idea of doing things on my own is very tempting. I promise you.
But he told the group meeting at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel that he has to work with Congress and will continue to fight for what he called a balanced plan that does not focus solely on spending cuts but that spreads the sacrifice to the wealthiest Americans as well.
La Razaand activist Latinos elsewhereare disappointed in the president for not keeping his promise to champion comprehensive immigration reform in his first year in office. They are particularly angry that his administration has been aggressive in deporting undocumented immigrants, but the president defended the record number of deportations, contending he has had no choice.
Those are the laws on the books, said Obama. I swore an oath to uphold the laws on the books. That doesnt mean I dont know very well the real pain and heartbreak that deportations cause.
He added that he shares the concerns of Latinos. I understand them and I promise you we are responding to your concerns and working every day to make sure we are enforcing flawed laws in the most humane and best possible way.
His ''I'd like to change'' comment followed a section in his speech that mentioned the limitations of Washington in stopping deportations. He then spoke of his frustrations in dealing with Congress. His ''bypass Congress'' comment drew applause and chants of "Yes, You Can," a 2008 campaign slogan.
Congress hasn't been able to stop his illegal war.
But, somehow they're stopping immigration reform?

Of course they applauded and chanted when he said he’d like to be a dictator.
These are the words of a well-trained marxist/fascist....an incipient dictator, kaiser, caesar, tsar, emperor, caliph......
The man is delusional. However, his delusion of bypassing Congress and the Constitution may be a tip-off that, indeed, he's going to settle the whole debt crisis by issuing an executive order.

You got my vote for “Post of the Day”.
Ya’ll seen this yet?? Treason..
Believe me, the idea of doing things on my own is very tempting. I promise you.
Dude:
Ever since you were placed into OUT Whitehouse, you have been doing just that.
And it certainly shows...........
Il Douche....BAG!
What are the czars, recess appointments, bills “deemed” to have been passed, and executive orders but congressional bypasses?
This dick has made a career of bypassing congress already.
B0 has no intention of upholding the oath of office, i.e. that “nasty part” involving adhering to the U.S. Constitution. Time to impeach. This guy’s stab at humor is worse than a late night infomercial. Get rid of this tiresome empty suit!
If he does that (and he very well might) our government as we know it will be over.
La Raza: Carrying Obamas Agua

The National Council of La Raza, an advocacy group that frames nearly every national policy debate as a Latino issue, will hear a speech from President Obama today, as the president delivers his latest sales pitch to Hispanics. La Raza regularly mirrors the White House message on a range of topics, and a careful look at the nations largest Hispanic advocacy organization reveals a high level of messaging coordination with the White House.
Cecilia Muñoz has served as the Obama administrations director of intergovernmental affairs from the very beginning. Muñoz was previously La Razas senior vice president in charge of research, advocacy and legislation.
Her tenure at the White House has coincided with a sharp increase in federal funding for La Raza, according to a recent Judicial Watch investigation. This flow of funds has only solidified the groups advocacy for liberal policies that solidify the Obama administrations position among a key constituency of Hispanics.
La Raza is officially nonprofit and nonpartisan, but its president, Janet Murguía, has donated overwhelmingly to Democrats, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. And the groups stance on policy issues consistently conforms with those of the Democratic Party.

Why is the federal government funding a racist, anti-American organization??
Unfortunately, idiots voted them into office in 2008......or were you referring to La Raza?
Don’t worry. I’m sure he sees himself as an “enlightened despot”.
I believe him.
The only problem he has is roughly 80 million armed Americans.

The little Affirmative Action hire is finding out he is President, not Dictator.
