Unbelievable: TV Reporter Mocks Romney's Mormonism
Commentary ^ | July 7, 2011

Posted on 07/09/2011 6:52:15 PM PDT by T.L.Sink

Polls show there's an anti-Mormon bias among voters - especially Democrats, more than a quarter of whom say they wouldn't vote for a Mormon. But this video of a Memphis Fox affiliate ridiculing Mitt Romney about his religion is a real wake-up call [video]. The whole news segment appears to be about Mormonism and the 2012 election, but skip ahead to the 3:20 mark for the worst of it [video].

occasionally death (I went to BYU with a girl who was murdered by her brother for leaving Mormonism and converting to Evangelical Christianity).

Or if a mormon daughter tries to reconnect with her father, she is hauled by her husband to the bishop and berated by them both, calling her unworthy. Shunned by her friends and church members - she takes her own life.

Go ahead, post your plan to win others to Christ and what you mean by "nudging" them. Please try to not assume a motive on my part. You have been extremely vocal on this thread about others' negatives...I'd like to see what you consider to be a positive.

Now, how did I guess that this post would cause rashputin to end the conversation?

Mormonism is being brought up because it is a legitimate concern to most Americans, Rep or Dem.

And it will be the FOCUS of the election if Romney get the nomination. Bet on it.

And the question, is would you vote for someone who believes that they will become a God of their own planet one day? I won’t because I know everything they teach and that isn’t even the worst of it.

sounds like something that should be preached from a pulpit.

AH the LORD Jesus Christ said to go into all the world and preach

He said little about equipment but H did tell His disciples earlier not to take money, extra clothes or shoes etc

Im sure He also meant dont take a pulpit...

Romney isn’t running for chief Mormon.

Priest, Bishop, Stake President, and relatively soon to be GOD, Mitt Romney, sought and received a private meeting with the holy Prophet of his religion who himself will soon be becoming a GOD, to seek permission before pursuing his Presidential ambitions, knowing something about that religion that Bishop Romney was a leader and teacher of, is important to many millions of voters, especially since all of this is timed with a big, expensive, PR push by the anti-christian cult.

I merely pointed out the “blacks” having “the mark of the beast” was at one time a screwball position taken by the Mormon faith.

I think its time for an Amish president. They seem pretty good at leaving things the hell alone.

Not all. Many won't leave the little ones alone.

you then post the relevant scripture to me
________________________________________________

I do that myself

Post scripture from the Christian Bible

It comes from having the Word of God hidden and locked up in ones heart...

It just has to come out during times of religious discusion like here in the RELIGION FORUM

The other Christians in the thread get edified and fed spiritually

and the Mormons get mad

That’s funny. A large percentage on FR mock Mormonism.

Wasn’t he arrested for fraud (for claiming he could find treasure with “magic stones”) before he fled NYS?

The title of this Article is misleading. I do not think he was “mocking” at all. I think he was presenting a valid truth: Romney’s Momon religion could play a pivotal role in his campaign for the Presidency. Don’t think for a minute that Obama and Company won’t pull this out of their bag of dirty tricks if Romney is the nominee.

Yes he was. He was also tarred and feathered for trying to seduce a teenage girl.

Wow, you have great debating skills. Does calling people psychotic work all the time or do you have to use it selectively?
