Scores of journalists descended on Juneau this week in preparation for the release of the e-mails. MSNBC.com deputized 40 volunteers, chosen with the help of the League of Women Voters and the Retired Public Employees of Alaska. They were the reinforcements for the team of two journalists from the Web site and six more from NBC News who flew to Juneau.
The New York Times and The Guardian sent reporters armed with scanners and then solicited readers’ assistance. Politico enlisted a dozen editors, reporters and interns who worked as a team from their Northern Virginia newsroom “plowing through” the documents, as one editor described it. The Washington Post initially asked for 100 volunteers to sift through the documents. They were quickly overwhelmed with too many applicants. Unable to screen all of them, the paper abandoned the plan late Thursday, opting instead to invite reader comments.

Charles Mahtesian, national politics editor for Politico, said he was sympathetic to critics who said the news media went into unnecessary overdrive on anything Palin-related. “I think there’s some truth in what the critics on the right say about a double standard for Sarah Palin,” he said. “Having said that, she is an incredibly compelling character. And anything she says or does will have a bearing on the 2012 presidential election cycle. So it’s a pretty easy call as a news story.”

To call her a ‘compelling character’ is not inappropriate, nor within the context of this quote is it insulting. There’s plenty more of the media’s treatment of SP to get exercised about.
You, obviously don’t recognize a slight. It’s too subtle for you. I made my point clearly. You can semantize it away. It was a insult. But as you say it’s trifling.
Honestly, it has been sickening to me to see MSM. In the beginning with idiot Charlie Gibson and his sexist handling and Katie Couric with her snotty-elite ways, the MSM showed their true colors—but at that time, America had not fully seen Sarah Palin’s true colors.
Now, we see clearly dignity, honesty, patriotism, family devotion, kindness to others, respect of nature, respect of life....truly, when I see such an upstanding person—standing-up against such unmitigated evil— it makes me sick. I think of those in the early church who were killed because of their fierce determination to walk with God, and this media crucifixion of Sarah Palin today feels very similar to me.
I think there are many good conservatives out there who may run for POTUS, but at this point, my mind is set. I will vote for Sarah Palin. In the primary if her name is not there, I will write it in, and in the general, if her name is not there, I will write it in. I declare right here and now....

My brother told me to be quiet, and said, "Hell no! These are newly minted Americans and they might be impressionable. I am trying to instill in them the time honored American tradition of skepticism of anything to do with the government. Think of it as a Civics Lesson!"

Whaaaah. what a bald face lie. They were overwheled alright, with hundreds (99.9%) of negative comments about what they were doing, as opposed to (less than ten I counted) 000.1% in support of it.

We need to make up yard signs and maybe bumper stickers and shirts that say just that, and start a movement. Should I do a vanity post to say just that?
If the GOP gives us a Laggard Gelded Lilliputian, I to will write her in, no more compromises...

Yes, a movement is needed. The GOP needs to be put on notice. Many people are praying for our country. Maybe this is an idea that is an answer to those prayers? Go for it, Taildragger!!
