Scores of journalists descended on Juneau this week in preparation for the release of the e-mails. MSNBC.com deputized 40 volunteers, chosen with the help of the League of Women Voters and the Retired Public Employees of Alaska. They were the reinforcements for the team of two journalists from the Web site and six more from NBC News who flew to Juneau.
The New York Times and The Guardian sent reporters armed with scanners and then solicited readers assistance. Politico enlisted a dozen editors, reporters and interns who worked as a team from their Northern Virginia newsroom plowing through the documents, as one editor described it. The Washington Post initially asked for 100 volunteers to sift through the documents. They were quickly overwhelmed with too many applicants. Unable to screen all of them, the paper abandoned the plan late Thursday, opting instead to invite reader comments.

Charles Mahtesian, national politics editor for Politico, said he was sympathetic to critics who said the news media went into unnecessary overdrive on anything Palin-related. I think theres some truth in what the critics on the right say about a double standard for Sarah Palin, he said. Having said that, she is an incredibly compelling character. And anything she says or does will have a bearing on the 2012 presidential election cycle. So its a pretty easy call as a news story.

He is right about the Fed, but put that together with the rest of his package and he comes off looking like a "The Illuminati Are Under My Bed" guest on the George Noory Show
I love that line, “She’s crushing them under the weight of her own lies.” Seriously, if I considered another candidate to be close to her in readiness for the Oval Office, I’d go with HER b/c I’d figure there must be SOME good reason for all this insanity against her. BUT, there isn’t anyone close anyway..... Bob
Has any other politician ever been subjected to anything like this? (except for a criminal investigation with warrants, that is)? Maybe it’s time to do some FOIA’in of a few choice rats’ email traffic.....
IIRC here in So, Calif. I observed Leftist Partisanship as far back as the Early sixties on behalf of the League of Women voters. “Non-Partisan” was just something they said as far as I know. Lip service by the Left as usual.
“One would have to be a complete dumbarse to not see the overwhelming media bias when referencing Sarah Palin”
I was shocked tonight when even the Krauthead called the biased media unconsionable (or words to that effect) and even called it “Palin Derangement Syndrome.”
She done slickered the dumb *astards again.........As they say down the bayou :^)
Give-um mo rope Sarah!
Yep, Charles called it PDS!
Meanwhile we’re lectured about Weiner’s private life by a press that doesn’t care about his attempts to hook up with everything that moves on the taxpayer’s dime....
Governor Sarah Palin is a genius and perhaps the lamestream now knows she is honest, hard working, and COURAGEOUS, even when her life is threatened daily bb kooks, haters and dangerous idiots that they have incited.
GO SARAH! RUN AND WIN!
OUR REPUBLIC MUST BE SAVED AND RESTORED!
What Sarah won’t to to increase tourism to Alaska!
Gotta love all those hungry sharks (with apologies to sharks everywhere) from MSNBC/NBC/NYT, etc dashing off to Juneau and getting nada. Happy the failing MSM wasted time and money on their little venture.
If Beck is correct, i.e. we are about to inplode financially, the Lame Streams maybe the one of the 1st to go. He got out before the collapse to create in a new open medium. Just IMHO of how he might be thinking.
If they collapse before 2012, Sarah has already going the Spec-Op media route, they are not a factor... Cha-Ching....
I think that question is better directed toward Schmidt and Wallace. A pox on the house of any Republican politician who gives either of those cretins a job.
I believe even Edwin Edwards would be smilin' about how easily she did this... /g
I'm pretty cynical, especially about Krauthammer. The MSM is starting to regret exposing these emails, since they actually end up showing Palin in a good light, and make the MSM look like the rabid small-minded bigots they are. I wondered if Krauthammer was suffering from those same regrets that this might actually have helped Sarah Palin. I'd believe that of him before I'd believe that he had a sudden attack of conscience. I think he hates Governor Palin.
The ability to think quickly and adjust will be invaluable to the eventual Republican candidate. Dont' see any others in the field with her asymmetrical game plan. If she comes in, she will be hard to beat.
Physician Heal Thy Self
I've always wanted to say that
Probably so, haven't seen hide nor hair of old gov Ed since they let him out of the joint, must be keeping low profile.
Ha! See #56 below...
Yeah. Hannity gave him all of a whopping 5 minutes. Dang.
