Thanks for your response, Jim. I agree with you 100%. I wish FR would go back a bit more to its libertarian roots, but I understand that people’s views can change over time. I do agree that those “Republicans” who allow gays rights via the law based on their bedroom behaviors are not worth supporting.

If you are so smart then you come up with a good reason why my friends Steve and Caroline who home school their children have a boy who is “nelly”. I used to think like you too, but after observing the real world, I have learned many things based on real life experience.
Many medications the mother takes do affect the fetus which is why many have warning labels that say “Do no take if you are pregnant”, but you being a guy (I am assuming here), would not pay attention to such things.
The mainstream homosexual lobby as I understand it would hate to find out that some cases of their “cause” is influenced by drugs, prescription or otherwise it would tear away the argument from the 90% who are the mental perverts that couldn’t trace it back to their mother taking something during their own gestation.
They want the “Gay gene” to be something that can’t exactly be pinned down, because if there was such a thing it could be tested for and they would realize that 90% of their group were just mental perverts in need of a shrink.

No, I’m right with you. I want to elect the most conservative candidate possible in the primaries. I tend to think long-term, as in after the primaries, and we’ll cross that bridge if it happens.
If you don’t like FR’s pro-God, pro-life, pro-family mission, you’re on the wrong forum.
I can't, and I'm repeating myself again, see any sense in having Free Republic working to support the RINO tendencies of the current GOP hierarchy. We can't further our goals and interests while working to push interests counter to our own. Why should Jim sponsor a platform for Romney's campaign, or the campaign of anyone else who won't support true conservative principles?
If someone wants to support a RINO there are places for it.
No one will ever convert me or the other truly conservative Freepers, all they do is irritate the crap out of us, and, give comfort to the enemy.
I support the forum too, likely not as much as you but I've been a monthly supporter for quite a while now. I don't think it gives me the right to fly in the face of the Free Republic mission and principles, however.
I signed up as a Republican as soon as I turned 21, and I'm headed for 69 next September, if I last that long. I've been loyal to consevrative principles from the start and I'm not about to follow blindly while the GOP staggers off chasing after liberal votes.
