Brit Hume trashed Newt on Fox and called him nothing less than a Bomb thrower. That's an understatement. Brit said that Newt attacked Paul Ryan and handed a talking point to the Democrats......"vote for a Republican and Medicare will be gone." All that on day 5 of his campaign. Brit pretty much said that Newt is going to implode even faster than he did as Speaker of the House. He complimented Ryan for his detailed plan and ridicules Newt for not offering anything but a lot of noise.
I am thinking John Bolton may run and I believe he would make a great candidate.
Well, Mr. Hume, perhaps you could tell us, which of the other confirm or likely candidates will stand up to the secularists and Islamists to proudly proclaim this Nation to be Christian? Once again, the Republican Party expects Evangelicals to come out to vote, but sit quietly in the back while the country’s future is decided. No longer will we be taken for granted, or will we be placated by idle half-promises. Not this time.
And maybe it is uncomfortable to ask questions, but I think Newt is right to ask. If we have to do a mandate (I don’t think we should), then he’s right, it should be at the state level because there is such a thing as STATES RIGHTS and the Constitution gives the Fed NO AUTHORITY to do such a thing. Also, what do people under 55 get for the DECADES they paid into FICA? No, we can’t totally pull the rug out from under people already retired and who were made dependent on Medicare, but let’s be honest... do millionaires really need the taxpayers footing the bill for their electric mobility scooters?

I heard that an Indiana judge has just nullified the 4th Amendment... it is time for the next generation to step up and defend freedom... I don't expect more than another 70 years for myself... ;-/
Good points on Newt. I heard that a former congressional aid said Newt had A.D.D. That he was off to the next thought or project before the first was finished. He would go off with out venting his ideas and say stupid stuff... like the laptops for kids and calling reporters at 5:00 in the morning and complaining he was in the the back of AIR FORCE ONE.

I don't want to see Brit running for any political office. I just like him as a news reporter. I enjoy his commentating now that he has semi retired.

I did too! I will miss him! (snicker) I just heard on Fox that Rush Limbaugh said it is befuddling that Newt supports the individual mandate. I heard him say that since the whole platform the Republicans want to beat Obama on has to do with the individual mandate not being constitutional, it makes no sense for Newt to go against Obama supporting it! Fox said Limbaugh said Newt cut Ryan off at the knees. I JUST HEARD HANNITY WILL HAVE NEWT ON HIS RADIO SHOW TONIGHT EXPLAINING WHAT HE SAID. Fox said Newt supported the individual mandate in ‘93. Fox said there is a huge conservative backlash against Newt now over his comments.

I LOVED Ryans response to Newt’s statement. “With allies like this, who needs liberals”? llolol!
Thinking about it, it seemed like he was being led by Gregory. Gregory framed a question negatively, Gingrich went negative. Positive, Newt followed.
Maybe I’m way off, what do you think.
