It didn’t take long for some of President Obama’s doubters to claim the long-awaited birth certificate posted online by the White House on Wednesday had been altered or might be a fake.
But a leading software expert says there’s no doubt about its authenticity, and he dismisses claims of fraud as flat-out wrong.
The doubters have latched onto the idea that Adobe Illustrator — the premier program for computer graphic artists — “reveals” evidence of document manipulation in the Obama birth certificate. They note Illustrator reveals nine separate layers of the document, and claim it’s “proof” the file has been altered.
But that’s not so, says Jean-Claude Tremblay, a leading software trainer and Adobe-certified expert, who has years of experience working with and teaching Adobe Illustrator.
“You should not be so suspicious about this,” Tremblay told FoxNews.com, dismissing the allegations.

He said the layers cited by doubters are evidence of the use of common, off-the-shelf scanning software — not evidence of a forgery. “I have seen a lot of illustrator documents that come from photos and contain those kind of clippings—and it looks exactly like this,” he said.
Tremblay explained that the scanner optical character recognition (OCR) software attempts to translate characters or words in a photograph into text. He said the layers cited by the doubters shows that software at work – and nothing more.

Again. These layered images are not from OCR. They're from an optimization filter used during the PDF conversion process.
That's factually incorrect, and here's why: We have a signed personal letter from none other than the Director of the Department of Health in the State of Hawaii attesting to the document's authenticity.
You can pretend to yourself that this doesn't matter. But it does. In the minds of about 90% of Americans, that closes the matter. It's only those who really, really WANT to believe Obama was born elsewhere who are now "confident" of that fact.
As for myself, I at this point believe that it's still plausible he was not born in Hawaii. But for that to be true, we would have to have something like a forgery and cover-up both at the State of Hawaii level and in the paperwork of Obama Sr's immigration papers. Else that or a conspiracy early on to get the benefits of citizenship for little Barry.
But as yet, I see no really credible evidence for either. And it's pretty darn hard to get to the bottom of finding out whether there's some real credible evidence to support that when the vast majority of people are investing their efforts into trumpeting "reasons why Obama's birth certificate is a fake" that are known NOT to hold water or be decisive at this point.
I am interested in truth. If the truth is in our favor, it's in our favor. If it isn't, we move on to the truth that is.
It is a disappointment to me that so many on our side seem prepared to cling unendingly to any belief that they like in spite of any and all evidence that it simply isn't true, and that so many others seem incapable of rationally and objectively evaluating and accepting the evidence.
I had somewhat labored under the illusion that this was more a characteristic of the left. We know that Barack Hussein Obama was not 25 years old in 1961!
Okay, let's say we do know such a thing. What does it mean?
It might well mean something significant if Barack Sr had been a/the informant for the birth certificate information. In that case, it might have meant he was lying for some initially unknown reason.
So the logical person at this point asks, was there a reason for Obama Sr. to lie about his age?
Who was the informant? Stanley Ann Dunham.
The person who is determined to cling to his belief at this point says, "See! It's a fraud!"
The person who is interested in truth asks, what's the likely reason here?
And the likely reason(s) is/are immediately evident.
SAD may not really have known how old Obama was. She may well have taken a guess. "Put 25."
Or, more likely, she was LIED to by Barack Sr.
Why would she have been lied to?
Barack Sr, age 27, had just knocked up a 17 or 18 year old girl (I haven't checked SAD's birth date so not sure at this moment which).
And a white girl at that.
He was in enough hot water having just knocked up a very, very young white woman. It is no stretch at all that he might have wanted to, shall we say, put a bit more optimistic face on his own youth.
Honestly, what was (to me, at least) a movement of skeptics seems to be becoming our own community equivalent to the 9/11 "truthers" who insist to this day that Bush was behind 9/11. And if we don't cling to reality, that is how we will always be regarded by the rest of America, even if we do eventually uncover solid evidence that Barack Obama is not eligible to be President.
Or, more likely, we continue to push an issue that the rest of America is dismissing, and they ignore us as well on issues where we MIGHT be able to win - that is, Obama's actual failures of policy.

I think the Lucas Smith paper is genuine.
At intervals, there has popped up a story of how the kid was born in Kenya because of the parents travel being held up by weather, so the birth and the birthing doctor was there, but there was a new examination and registration as soon as they got to Hawaii. The would match exactly with the analysis by “The Daily Pen”, and explain why a whole load of vital data (mandatory in most locations) are missing from the colb.
Haven’t followed the exact custody of Zanzibar, but A. It’s not *in* Kenya, geographically (island), and B. It belongs to Tanzania. Mostly muslim.

You could be right. But how can people be fine with this when up until recently you have had the Governor of Hawaii come on record and say the LFBC didn’t exist.
Unless it was created, it just doesn’t appear out of thin air....this will be a problem, along with the INS file of Obama Sr., and the retrial of Rod Blagojevich (Tony Rezko).

Scanning the original hard copy then saving as tiff = good
Downloading the pdf (containing compressed image file) then saving as tiff = fail

Worse yet, imagine of Sarah Palin has submitted a document in the same condition as this. There would be an entire 60 Minutes episode breaking down every pixel and signature reference.

Bruce: Both of those suggestions are plausible. All it would have taken was one corrupted official with access to birth records in HI, and all of the rest of this follows directly from that. There has been a fair amount of discussion on the WND site about the looseness of standards at the Vital Stats offices in HI.

Bruce: Again, this could be a very apt observation of political reality. I will say this - the extreme disregard of the US Constitution by most of America on this issue is downright TROUBLING. What that leads to in my mind is an utter breakdown of the Constitutional rule of law. Why should anyone respect or fear the strictures of that (’living’) document?
The HDoH prints its own seal, borders, and any lines. In other words, they start with a blank sheet of green security paper. Everything you see printed was laser printed by a software application programmed by the IT department at the HDoH.
Along with jokes for the next 2 months about it on late night TV. I’m sure we’ll see nothing from Jay, Conan, and David (interns are hot) Letterman unless the press turns the corner on this issue. I have personal doubts they will.
Which makes it all the more true that the press is completely captured and not independent in the least.
Lol. All we’re looking for here (all we can look for) is the artifacts (or lack of them) created by adobe, and of course any other stuff brought in the adobe file. If you fail to understand that, I suggest you go over to Hawaii and request the original paper :)

Are there any earlier documents where BHO Jr's mother (SAD) is known to have written the correct birth date for BHO Sr? If not, I don't see how the incorrect birth date would be anachronistic. BHO Sr. may well have lied to SAD about his birthdate and, once he found out that the date he had given her now appeared in an official document, started using that date in other documents as well. I don't know if that happened, but it would certainly seem plausible.
The "Rathergate" documents had numerous glaring anachronisms, stemming from the fact that the letter spacing and formatting conventions precisely matched that of a system which could not have been invented until decades later. If the document had supposedly been created in, e.g., 1988 (a few years before MS Word started using the default settings and behaviors in question) one would have to consider the possibility that the creator of the document used some obscure program that existed in 1988 (but was not well known), and that Microsoft copied the behaviors of that program in some later versions of Word. With the documents supposedly dating back to the 1960's, however, it's completely implausible that anything in the 1960's would have behaved as MS Word did in 2003.
If one were to examine 1,000 birth certificates from the hospital where BHO was born, and find that every other one was formatted identically, then formatting differences might be a red flag. On the other hand, one can imagine a variety of reasons why some documents might be formatted differently than others (e.g. it may be necessary to interrupt some other job to type of a birth certificate, and the other job might use different tab stops; a typist wouldn't normally change tab stops just to do a few lines on a single document, especially if it would then be necessary to change them back).
At this point the entire document is so riddled with crap it’s a crap sandwich, just like everything connected with the lying usurper in the White House and all his enablers, assistants, supporters and excusers.
If you think the document (actually now there have been two, one white and one green, or maybe there have been three) is not a forgery, nothing and no one can help you.
