According to results of Quinnipiac poll released Wednesday morning, the percentage of Floridians who now approve of Gov. Rick Scott's (R) job performance has remained unchanged since two months ago. But at the same time, the percentage who disapprove of his job performance has more than doubled, putting his net approval rating deep underwater.
In the latest poll, a 48% plurality of registered voters now disapprove of how Scott has handled his job, a huge leap from February when only 22% of voters disapproved of the new Governor's job performance.

He’s slowly killing the bureaucratic morass that soaks up Florida tax dollars. Someone who I know that works in the prison system that if the retired double dippers have to give up their jobs, then 5000 new officers will be needed to replace them. I would think the new graduates from the local law enforcement academies would look forward to a job instead of waiting for a retired/rehired officer to pass way. This double dipping happens in the school system, and all across the state bureaucracy. Go for it Gov... and his other measure to return dedicated monies to the general fund so that things like the Turtle Conservancy will have to compete for money each year instead of being lifelong sinecures for libertard activists.
JPG, Meant to add “Me too!”
I thank God for Governor Scott and all the fine conservatives we have in our Sunshine State!
We just have a little more cleaning up to do, voting out the 6 Socialist DEM US House members, and sending Bill Nelson into retirement!
Florida will lead the way in 2010!
Must have surveyed teachers and state workers.
That's very true, and I don't know how we'll stop them. Here in Florida, the teachers hated Jeb Bush, too, because he made public schools at least a little more accountable than they are now. Jeb Bush had a less abrasive personal image (he's the most politically nimble of the entire Bush family and has a very outgoing personality) so it was easier for him on some levels...but even he never got the kind of public school teacher merit pay combined with voucher system approach that would really have changed the system.
I have been really amazed by the stuff in WI, because the teachers' unions have emerged as just about the thuggiest of all and the teachers are revealing themselves as unhinged moonbats. Our teachers probably aren't that bad, but their unions are the same everywhere.
This is true everywhere. A family member in law enforcement in a Western state told me that the PD put in a program intended to get people to retire after 30 years that somehow backfired in such a way that they "retire" and then go on working and never have to actually leave the job. Their pension and salary combos suck up so much money that there is absolutely nothing left for hiring new, young officers, and they leave no room for promotions of younger officers.
Not to mention the fact that they are horrible burn-outs who are usually out of the office all day, resent the younger officers, and show up with enthusiasm only when the union calls them out to protect this outrageous system.
THIS.
Good one, just don’t confuse it with Tea Party News!!!
I live in Florida, S.Fla, and my family there are also in the hating mode, especially my M-i-L @ 92!!!

It is everywhere.....I was shocked at the middle finger salutes and curses screamed by ‘teachers’ aimed at a Tea Party group when we held a counter rally in support of Scott & cutting spending!
