Weekly Standard Editor Bill Kristol was among Sarah Palin's earliest Washington admirers, and helped bring her to the national stage, but he said this week that while he still admires her, he questions her choices and doesn't think she should be the Republican nominee for president.

Hi parents You all been disputing? .
As others announce and she doesnt she will have alot of trouble getting the media to talk about her or cover her. Some of this is already happening with her wrt Bachmann announcing an exploratory.
Of course it will be critical to trash and destroy ever-single announced candidate (some of which are pretty lame anyway) as they pop up to keep the flame burning. Watch terrible stories leaked of those Republicans being outted for not paying parking tickets, or not cutting their lawns. It could get ugly. I will get some pop-corn.
Q: Should undocumented immigrants all be deported?
A: There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant--there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants--not only economically is that just an impossibility but that's not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue.
Q: Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 million undocumented immigrants?
A: No, I do not. Not total amnesty. (NOT TOTAL AMNESTY) You know, people have got to follow the rules. We have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.
Q: So you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
A: I do because I understand why people would want to be in America...
She is not for "total" amnesty and is for a "path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants".
As another freeper pointed out she modified her position only slightly in a 2010 interview with BOR. She now favors letting them stay as long as the register.
grey_whiskers is trying to get refermech banned. He’s one of quite a few people here who try to get others banned for their contrary views.
I hope you are right. I tend to think you are. But still, knowing that the press created Juan as the GOP nominee makes me leery of anyone they single out. Because much of the press Juan got before the Florida Primary was negative, but it got his name out there. In many ways the saying “there is not such thing as bad press” is really true.
So, with that in mind, are they really attacking Sarah because she is the strongest? Or are they backhandedly supporting her like they did Juan because she is the weakest and most likely to get OholyO re-elected?
Further, who is gonna have the nads to DEMAND OholyO PROVE he is a Natural Born Citizen? Because if he can’t prove he is eligible to run, then he will have to resign IMMEDIATELY because if you cant run for the office, you cannot OCCUPY it either.
That will get us quit of that cretin real damn fast, and I wish SOMEONE would show the stones to do it.
Reminds me of the Obama worshippers who people on this site flamed for worshipping Obama in spite of his record.
Hey lets just zot anyone who disagrees and brings up the facts.
Sad part is that will not work in the primaries or the general election.
What was that condition? Likely I was reading too many textbooks and missed it. Can you humor me?
thanks!
:)
You may be correct. Have not been to You Tube, as of late.
Had not seen the interview. Had not seen the You Tube video. Sounds like Sarah’s position is evolving. Will have to wait for more information, and do some research, yet there are other things regarding illegal immigrants taking place in the background where one sometimes has to wait for a final position. This is one of those times, and my backing is still with Sarah. Hope this satisfies your request for my position.
I had assumed you meant refermech, dsc; since you *were* responding to him.
So I went to look up some of his old posts.
Along the way I ran into the ones in my post #336
One of them said "Yup, Im tired of the god stuff too. Almost ready to call it quits here." -- which contradicts Jim Rob's characterization of FR as "pro-God"; and the other said
"Kind of makes sense. Once you learn all about the bible its pretty easy to come to the conclusion that its all just a bunch of bunk!"
which again is derogatory of Christianity.
JR's call, either way -- but he has zotted atheists in the past.
Cheers!
Cheers!
Geeze you are nice. How can I say no? :)
The word out a month ago or so was that Bachmann will run only if Palin decides not to run. Obviously I have no way of knowing if that was true, but it makes sense that Bachmann would not want to run against her friend Palin. In fact if Bachmann does run and Palin continues to not make clear her intentions we will see more and more complaining about Bachmann by those counting on Palin.(someone who wants Palin pinged me Friday critical of Bachmann)
Palin cant talk about herself possibly being in the race anymore because she works for FNC. You never know for sure till election day but it is fun to try to figure it out.
Nope. Not disputing here nor on the Obamacare, Libya, Schiff, or Federal Reserve threads (among others) that you ping me to.
And I ain't old enough to be your parent, ya old geezer. ;-)
Of course it will be critical to trash and destroy ever-single announced candidate ...
Most of the trashers don't seem to be waiting for an announcement. Who hasn't been thrown under the bus yet?
Holy cow. I got beat up on Friday too for commenting on a Palin worship thread(and pinging parents) . These are dangerous.
LOL! Wasn’t that this thread?
No, it was a thread with an idiotic premise which I got in trouble for challenging: That Palin will go from unpopular to popular after she gets nominated and she has that first debate with Obama. I suggested that her critics would be neutralized if she increased that popularity right now rather than the author ask them for such a huge amount of trust. That got a few angry responses.
From post: "What happens when Americans, perhaps watching a debate, a speech, or a town hall meeting, begin to realize that Palin is the candidate that they agree with?"

“I had assumed you meant refermech, dsc; since you *were* responding to him.”
I’ve seen about 20 posters over the last few weeks that looked off to me.
One of them said “Yup, Im tired of the god stuff too. Almost ready to call it quits here.” — which contradicts Jim Rob’s characterization of FR as “pro-God”; and the other said “Kind of makes sense. Once you learn all about the bible its pretty easy to come to the conclusion that its all just a bunch of bunk!” which again is derogatory of Christianity.”
Just want to make it clear that I wasn’t the one who said those things. I am a Christian.
I *know* you weren't the one who said them: refermech did.
Which is why I included JR on that post.
Cheers!
