Weekly Standard Editor Bill Kristol was among Sarah Palin's earliest Washington admirers, and helped bring her to the national stage, but he said this week that while he still admires her, he questions her choices and doesn't think she should be the Republican nominee for president.

Aha! Overtaken by events — I should have figured that one out.
I’ve been busy — got lots of things going on right now.
I haven’t had time to read many threads or to post.
That Rino hack helped put Sarah Palin on the map
“Number one...I never shout. Number two...suggesting that opposition to palin equals doing great harm to the conservative movement is just silly....the issue is not Bill OReilly, it is palins answer to his question...”
Shout? Well you sure are all over Palin thread like stink on doo.....I’d say the constant yammering is shouting.....but call it what you will P’ant Jr.
I suggested that your time is better spent following Reagan’s 11 Commandant, and we all are better off if you promote your ideal candidate, and advance the reasons why you think he/she is best suited for the elected position, instead of knocking other candidates (you sure got a fixiation on Palin ya know). But I can see you don’t understand Reagan’s 11 Commandment concept one iota....sad.
BOR is an issue because he spends all his time putting out gotcha questions that advance no real understanding. Guess what?.... when Sarah declares her candidacy and puts out her positions on various issues confronting the nation he can ask probing question of her that expand upon the public’s understanding of those positions, and once asked allowing her to answer fully.
As it is BOR is just a second rate journalist hoping to catch someone in a mis-statement.......witness his constant haranging of his guests and cutting them off in mid sentence, never allowing them to answer. He may be your idea of a journalistic hero, but to me he fails to meet the standards of legitimate journalism, thereby betraying the duty of professional integrity owed the public by the Fourth Estate.
Think the US is on the wrong track....lay that at the feet of biased and unprofessional journalists.....BOR being just one of many going back way too many years.
Ok Mr Gloom and Negativity, I guess we’ll have to suffer through your mudslinging never once learning about the great person you support for President, nor his/her glowing attributes and why we are better served supporting him/her........
Short story is you have nothing to add to the conversation.
Please check out post #61...?
Either way this battle of “Run Sarah because I love you” versus “Another one says Sarah shouldn't be the nominee” threads and posted articles with the same back and forth arguments will continue to go on seemingly endlessly.
I guess you really, really, really want things to be exactly as you want them to be.
And, again, what does the person asking the question have to do with palin's answers? Did BOR force her to say what she said? Of course not. All he did was ask her things that cubby Hannity won't. Her answers are 100% on her.
at some point, maybe already reached, the pro-con chatter over SP is nothing but a distraction, and a ‘divide & conquer’ strategy that will signal an epic fail on the Citizens ability to peacefully regain the Republic...
I was very careful in my wording but that didn’t stop you from misrepresenting what I said. I said that she played a part in goading him (and even if that is a 1 in millionath part that still makes her guilty). I agree that conservatives in Congress and the talking heads played a much stronger role but that doesn’t mitigate Sarah’s guilt for taking the stand. I would apply the same standard to you and me! You wasted much space “refuting” a point I never made. Now answer the question. Do you agree with Sarah’s campaign to intervene in Libya?
About all we can do at this point is watch nature take it’s course. People have already gone ‘all in’ on her. I disagree. To me it’s clear what the outcome will be. That being said, about the only good that will do me is realizing I was right in the spring of 2013.
This bickering is pointless. Nobody’s mind is being changed at this point.
This isn’t meant as a snide reference to your comments. It’s just my take on the overall 2012 situation with regard to how people see her chances.
At this point you either think she can walk on water, or you turn the channel when you hear that screechy voice for the ten billionth time in the last few years.
Just saw Romney ramping up for 2012. God what a bombastic line-up we have developing this year. In a word, so far it’s “demoralizing”.
Since when did being a liberal or a conservative become defined as:
1.) Becoming a member of a Cult of Personality where one, single politician (be it Barack Obama or Sarah Palin) is worshiped as the Infallible and Perfect Messiah?
2.) Sticking your head in the sand, putting your brain on "PAUSE" and actually deluding yourself into believing that a nominee with the following extremely toxic poll numbers will actually "kick ass" in a general election?
FOX News Poll (February 7-9, 2011)
Question 3: I am going to read you a list of names. Tell me if you think that person would make a good President or not.
Sarah Palin:
.................YES.........NO.......DK.....Never heard of
ALL...........23%.......72%.........4%.......1%
Dem ...........7%........87%........5%.......1%
Rep ...........40%.......56%.......3%.......1%
Ind ...........25%........69%.......3%.......1%
Being irrationally fanatical and refusing to live on the Planet Earth does not make you a good liberal or a good conservative.
It only makes you an irrational fanatic.
It’s definitely a distraction.
In 1996 this type of thing brought us Bob Dole.
In 2000 it brought us George Bush.
In 2008 it brought us John McCain.
In 2012 it’s almost certain to bring us some block-head that would have been very comfortable as a 1980s Democrat.
Mitt, are your ears burning?
The long knives are out. Be careful...
With Bachmann pretty much deciding to run, I doubt Palin will. But it’s early yet — who knows what all will happen in months to come?

Suggested addition:
3.) Arguing in defense of actions or policies contrary to your fundamental beliefs, and attacking those in disagreement, just because your chosen target of adulation took such a position.
Sad, but true.
Been away, therefore I am extremely late in getting to your post. Would you produce a link? Been extremely busy, I shall do research later or if you are so inclined to post a link, I will look it over.
I have no idea what you are trying to communicate, or why you pinged Jim Robinson to it.
If you have a burr under your saddle, man up and say what you mean.
” at some point, maybe already reached, the pro-con chatter over SP is nothing but a distraction “
Yep....we are there already ;-)
You must be the last FReeper alive to not see the BOR/Palin interview last year where she called for “registration amnesty” It is available on You Tube.
