I’ve tried really hard to take Glen Beck serious and I just can’t do it. He is so overly dramatic as to be foolish at times, and the chalkboard lectures have always grated on me.

I know he means well, and I’m sure he’s a very nice guy, but he sure isn’t a source that I rely on....

I think you may be right, the message may be accurate but the delivery is off-putting. I feel like I am watching someone having a nervous breakdown.

I like Beck and I believe he is mostly correct but I can’t listen to him on the radio either and I have almost stopped watching him on TV.

Me too.

Used to listen to him before he was a "big TV star" and his radio program was funny as hell, "Friday's Moron Football" was a hoot.

He then discovered TV, and large ratings, and his lewisnky buddy Pat, that gives him every verbal back and front rub that he can without puking on the radio.

He's not stupid, and a lot of what he says is real but he thinks of himself as the 12th Imam, and he's really just a junior joe smith.

But, he did talk with Billy {Graham, the Evangelical guru in case you didn't know} just yesterday.

Glenn is too full of Glenn.

I agree with you. Glenn has had his problems.

But this guy has done more than anyone else has ever done to show people how the left has plotted against the citizens for more years than we want to believe.

My own parents have been educated in how they have been played by the left. If a couple 82 year olds can admit that, who are we to say we don’t want to see it?

People need to listen to Glenn Beck and learn. He has fought hard. How hard is anyone else fighting? All I hear on this thread is that he has made them scared. Darn tootin’, they should be scared and figuring out what they intend to do about it.

Nobody can make the claim they are fighting hard, or they would be lying. Knowledge is what it is about. Without it, you are fighting in the dark.

I am really ashamed of those that think they will fight the left by killing the light. No way. No how.

A grown man who admittedly only recently learned about Coolidge and Wilson, not to mention our Founders.
Beck runs off at the mouth each time he discovers something *new* about Washington, Adams, Jefferson et al, as if he's imparting never-before-known facts to everyone. Facts that most people were taught in high school.
Though, I reckon if one's knowledge is on a par with Beck's one would find him studious and even bright.
I find him insecure and borish.

Another thing, like his buddy Bill O'Reilly, Beck simply cannot donate money to a person or cause anonymously. They just have to let the world know how generous they are. (Though BOR isn't moved to tears as easily as Beck.)

That was very well put and I couldn’t agree more. Like Sean Hannity, he is one of the good guys but I can’t listen to either one of them because their deliveries are fatalistic, shrill, and repetitive.

In addition, the libertarian view of politics stops at our shores so he knows very little about foreign policy.
