From FOX:
DEVELOPING: Loud explosions and gunfire were heard in the Egyptian capital of Cairo Friday, as protesters demanding the removal of President Hosni Mubarak defied a curfew, Al Jazeera reported. Egyptian television reports the ruling party headquarters in Cairo are on fire.

Actually they may have been attempting a soft coup, but they in no way intended it to be like this.
They screwed up and lost control of the situation and Mubarak thumbed his knows at 0bama. That wasn’t supposed to go down that way. ElBaridei is under house arrest in Egypt since Friday.
Ugh...more coffee please...
knows=nose
LOL
This is just another of his demonstrations of incompetence.
In past situations, he just sat back and did nothing in hopes that time would straighten it out by itself. Afghanistan is a good example of what I am saying.
Because MaObama IS so inept and clueless, he believes that this thing will just settle down and go away all by itself and he will emerge looking like he is the reason.
Obama was elected President because of this very thing. He said and did nothing during the Financial crisis, he just sat back on his ass and after all the heavy lifting was done, he got credit for it BECAUSE he did not get critically involved.
He kept campaigning while his opponent lost media attention. This is why he is now President. America wanted an “Outsider” and that is EXACTLY what they got!
LOL. He was a different man then. Funny how he skips the mtg yesterday to attend his kid’s bb game, while the VP and SoS attend... He is in over his head. As if his reaction to the Somali pirates, Haitian earthquake or Iranian protests haven’t shown us.
Fits in again with the Dots Connection Project.
Same with a Hurricanes - if millions are on the roads trying to get out - one person trying to get in has an equally easy time.../s

Al Masry Al Youm: People are being searched by the army as they enter Tahrir Square, and people with cameras are not allowed in.
Means the Saudis have come down on the side of ‘orderly’, but President Soetoro still wants the coup he’s been encouraging for years now. So the Soetoro administration is trying to see both results come to pass.
It to the point now the list is so long of O’s being on the wrong side you can’t list them all.
We are seeing first hand what lack of executive experience is like. No Leadership.
Clinton on Egypt: ‘We’re not advocating any specific outcome’
From ‘The Hill’:
Is she saying, “Whatever”?
Sorry if already posted.
Cooler heads prepare themselves for all contingencies and plan for a strong defense. To sit back and shiver in fear will surely put our Sons and Daughters in harms way.
As I said before, from a Military standpoint, we have no plan and there are many Americans who are there and see no threat. You can pray all you want, but the war will be lost if nobody is ready to fight.
Mohamed ElBaradei tells Christiane Amanpour: The Muslim Brotherhood is in no way extremist.
cont......until we get into power, then crush all opposition, form a one party sytem, impose shariah and start killing the infidels. (just thought i’d ad lib that ending on there)
You are so right. I was so naive to think he could never get elected. I will never underestimate liberal white guilt again. Our country has no leader.
Its called either “we’re in the crap so we aint making it any deeper”
Or the other translation is “Bambi wont make a decision or can’t and is off playing basketball and I have to face you lot”.
Gads. I just read that Obama spent last evening (Saturday) at a going-away party for Axelrod. Doesn’t anybody take anything seriously in this admin?
” Mohamed ElBaradei tells Christiane Amanpour: The Muslim Brotherhood is in no way extremist. “
That ranks right up there with —
“MSNBC doesn’t have Liberal leanings”
and
“Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!!”
Well, well, looky here from December 2010:

‘Tunisian premier predicts Muslim Brotherhood takeover’
It does sound serious when Goldman Sachs calls in former Treasury Secretaries to dine with Goldman’s puppet at the Treasury on a Sunday.
at this rate the Rep campaign in 2012 could be “we have no allies left” or “For Credible Foreign Policy Come This Way”.
There have been a few firefights and occasional mortars and rockets coming in on base. Nothing like the insane days of '04 through fall of '07, but it has ticked up some.
This is largely being attributed to Iraq finally seating its new government and the terrorists are still trying to derail the democracy. Muqtada al Sadr has also returned, so the Iran-funded rockets are re-appearing. Again, not nearly at the frequency of the earlier days, though.
There does not appear to be any reaction to the protests in Egypt. If anythying, these protests that are breaking out around the Middle East might be partially because they see a (still fledgling) democracy in Iraq and they want something like that.
The new replacements were getting nervous and Al spent most of the time reassuring them. Other than that, havent heard back since.
Oh, that was just the Christmas Day bombing. The terrorists always launch mortars and rockets at us on Christmas. This time, there were some people who have only been here a few months and had never experienced incoming fire before. So, we were all in the bunker while the mortars were coming in and I was cracking jokes to ease the tension and letting them know that I'd been through this countless times and we'd be OK.
And, of course, we were. :)
