Wilmington, Delaware (CNN) -- Police have found homicide victim John Wheeler's cell phone, according to a taxi driver who was interviewed by investigators this week.
Athel Scott told CNN National Correspondent Susan Candiotti that police told him they found the cab driver's number in the phone of Wheeler, the former Pentagon official who was found dead in a Delaware landfill. He said investigators wanted to know how his number got there. Scott... says he told the police he didn't have any idea.
"I never got a call from the man. I don't know him... He's never been in my cab. I don't know how my number got in his cellphone," Scott says he told police...

One of the bins is next to a constuction site of 50+ condos....Wonder if any of the construction jobs are done by the same companies that are building the neighbors house?

Your theory IS interesting and what comes after your (=) sign is going to be a long time coming. I just don’t get the *feeling* that the neighbors are involved. I’m still on Lt. Gen. McInerney’s side when he called it a professional hit job.
You miss the point. It doesn’t have to be the neighbor...BUT it could be one of the contractors/builders’s employees.

Just noted in both pictures....Looks like some roofing is about or is being done. Around here in the cities, roofers are often undocumented “day” workers. They’d do a hit job too....Just saying.
Justice of the Peace Stanley Petraschuk issued the first search warrant of Wheeler’s home on the day the body was found. Attorney General Beau Biden’s office asked four days later to seal the warrant, arguing that the disclosure of its contents will compromise the investigation.
Biden spokesman Jason Miller said in a statement that is was common practice to seal such warrants.(<<<Really?)
In his motion, deputy attorney general James Kriner noted that New Castle police did not request that the warrant be sealed. Nevertheless, Kriner wrote that “good cause exits (sic)” to seal the application and affidavit for the search warrant.
“An oversight by the investigating police agency/ies resulted in the warrant not being sealed initially,” Miller wrote in response to a request for clarification from The Associated Press. “Once the oversight was discovered the agency/ies brought it to our attention and we filed a motion to correct the oversight.”

Newark police, the lead investigative agency, continued to release details Friday about Wheeler's movements on the day before he died. A newly discovered surveillance video shows the 66-year-old New Castle resident in the area of Wilmington's Rodney Square on Dec. 30, walking toward a high-crime section of the city about two blocks away.

IMO the are keeping things sealed now because it would tip off the perp that they are on to him or them. AND they might flee (Like back to Mexico) Didn't he say THEY had taken his briefcase?
