REST IN PEACE, FALLEN BROTHER!

The Soldier
If I should die, think only this of me: That there's some corner of a foreign field That is forever England. There shall be In that rich earth a richer dust concealed; A dust whom England bore, shaped, made aware, Gave, once, her flowers to love, her ways to roam; A body of England's, breathing English air, Washed by the rivers, blest by suns of home. And think, this heart, all evil shed away, A pulse in the eternal mind, no less Gives somewhere back the thoughts by England given; Her sights and sounds; dreams happy as her day; And laughter, learnt of friends; and gentleness, In hearts at peace, under an English heaven.

Frozen over.. High of 24 today.
Sun was shining and the icicles were melting when I left for work today.
They will make my back porch mighty slick tonight.

Aloha Doc!
All's well.....but I haven't heard a word on the 'situation' at HNL yet. The nightly local news doesn't come on for another hour or so.
Don't tell me that the TSA broke ranks at the gates to go frisk the Hula Girls welcome reception....

Kathy in Alaska, thank you!
But in our household we have a different tradition. For us it is Advent (a semi-penitential season, a mini-Lent, beginning the new church year with a time for reflection) until Christmas Eve when the tree and decorations go up -- THEN the celebrations begin and we enter into the traditional 12 Days of Christmas!
But that's us.
My Christmas Spirit right now: 55% and climbing...

Thank you AZamericonnie. Yes, that’s me on everything except the drums. My husband played those.
Here’s my web site. Has some other songs I’ve done. We have a lot more we’re still working on. Our efforts may not get us to the big time (what ever that is) but we’re having a ball.

Perspective is all.
We are running much colder than normal for this time of year.
We tend not to get hard freezes till January..

It’s playing at my end. Maybe it’s a little slow connection or something. And, I’m Karmann, Stan’s bluegrass girl. :-)

It was a good but busy day & hope yours was productive as well.
Things are on the right track for settling down...knock on wood!:)
Funny story I heard tonight....someone came into a friends place of business & said “I see the Dollar Store next door but do you know whre the 99 cent store is”?
Ok...I thought is was funny as could be!

I haven't heard from Tennessee or Michigan lately, so I figured they're hunkering down indoors, out Christmas shopping or out chopping firewood.
Guess I'll have to delay my trip to the mainland once again until the climate changes.
