Sarah Palin never claimed she could see Russia from her house that was Tina Fey but she went one better on Glenn Beck's radio show in discussing the tensions in the Korean Peninsula and saying: "We've got to stand with our North Korean allies".
A transcript of the radio show reads:
Interviewer: How would you handle a situation like the one that just developed in North Korea?
Palin: Well, North Korea, this is stemming from a greater problem, when we're all sitting around asking, 'Oh no, what are we going to do,' and we're not having a lot of faith that the White House is going to come out with a strong enough policy to sanction what it is that North Korea is going to do. So this speaks to a bigger picture that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy. But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies we're bound to by treaty....
Interviewer: South Korean.
Palin: Yes, and we're also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.

I’m calling for the end of all public schools and I’m from Berkeley? Come on...
“The real question is, will all 57 states stand with our north korean allies?”
All 57 states and the country of Europe.

Peace, Bob. You’re using your own noggin, which is all anyone can ask.
Darn the luck ...
We’re on the same page...if it is Sarah, or someone just as good, what does it really matter? But you do have an excellent point that if DeMint doesn’t start showing some signs of running, he’ll be out by default, should he change his mind.
Let’s get some sleep.
DeMint 2012...PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
People should hear that in all 57 states.
The Fedgov, according to the Constituiton, should not be meddling in state affairs like how students are educated, at any level.
Hey, Retired Intel Officer has been very supportive of Palin and has done some nice work, like summarizing some issue summaries on Palin.
Just because a poster posts an article that is not positive for Palin, doesn’t mean they are a PDSr.
I fail to see the disaster.
Was it a disaster when Obama claimed there were 57 states? Not according to the media. Did he really think there were 57 states or did he mean to say 50? The former conclusion would be a scary statement of how little Obama knows of his own native country. The latter would be no more significant than Palin's mis-statement.
There is no logical way to interpret Palin's statement as ignorance. It is obvious that she meant to say "South".
One might wish it were so obvious that Obama meant to say "50".
The only "disaster" is that Americans are today so divided regarding how this nation should be governed. That divide has created a media bias that influences a significant number of Americans. This is reflected very clearly in how "progressivism" is not identified as the cause of our current recession and the future cause of so much suffering yet to come.
Palin is not President. She hasn't been thinking about this. She hasn't even announced that she is running.
If Beck were really on our side (Conservative side) or on the Side of Palin then Beck would have set up palin with Questions on Obama and Obama’s fumblings so that Palin could destroy Obama and so look more presidential and competent than Obama.
Beck has always hated Republicans.Beck has always bashed them.
Palin wasn't expecting this kind of question. This is why she won't go on the liberal media shows but instead goes to see her “friend” and this is what he does to her.
Palin isn’t treated like other politicians so this will hit the entertain/news this weekend. So, there will be libtards talking about this at the watercooler and on facebook etc.
Treat it like it should be treated.
1. Factually. She mentioned S.Korea correctly just 8 seconds and one statement prior to when she merely misspoke.
2. Tell them they’re being childish, unless they are prepared to declare Obama is indeed a Muslim and Annexer in Chief with 7 added states.
It’s silliness.
” Doesnt she have enough money to hire skilled researchers and get coaching on history, diplomacy, and current events?”
Do you not understand that EVERYONE misspeaks occasionally?
Do you really think she doesn’t know the difference?
If you do, then I suspect you are a Romneybot or a fool.
The only time someone never misspeaks is when they use a teleprompter. Then they just mispronounce words like “corpsmen”.
He cant have his teleprompter but how about hearing aids? Anyone remember when Clinto showed up suddenly with a need for them? Anyone seen him with them since?
There are several conservatives out there that I like, but none of them have Sarah’s charisma, courage and the ability to connect with the American people.
I hope she runs.
Just look, we have a huge thread over nothing because Sarah is involved.
“The Fedgov, according to the Constituiton, should not be meddling in state affairs like how students are educated, at any level.”
I don’t think the federal govt should mandate state standards, even for public schools. But if a state (or even a private school) comes up with junky standards then it is up to conservatives to take a stand and say NO to whole language. NO to the use of calculators for solving simple math problems. NO to lowered expectations.
Bachmann-Palin overdrive, here we come!
Cheers!
Have you read Going Rogue yet?
Your question is answered in there.
Cheers!
I think she serves us best in a punditry role.
It's so much better having a lying POS as President than someone who mistakenly said North instead of South during a conversation whose main topic was NORTH Korea.
If Obama did the same thing, his mistake would be turned into his concern for the poor North Korean people living under such an oppressive Government.
