Vanity: Fox News Panelist Liz Trotta Agrees With Karl Rove: Palin's Alaska Is Unpresidential

Posted on 11/13/2010 12:38:19 PM PST by Retired Intelligence Officer

I was appalled at Liz Trotta and 3 other conservative guest panelist (that I couldn't name) on this afternoons Fox newswatch hosted by Jon Scott all agreed that Palins new reality show, Sarah Palin's Alaska on the Discovery Channel was very unpresidential and it would sink her any chances for the White House.

The topic was that liberal advocacy groups were asking for the Discovery Channel to pull the plug on it. The consevative commentator Liz Trotta then said that she agreed with Karl Rove that this was a bad move for Palin. Trotta then goes on to take a pop shot at Palin saying "everytime this woman opens her mouth that her numbers go down". She then said "the more she speaks that she makes people simply not like her". Jon Scott did not ask Trotta why this was just like yesterday when Megyn Kelly didn't ask Meghan McCain why she thought Palin would be best as a reality star.

My question is why is Fox news who hired Sarah Palin allowing conservative guest freely without explanation to back up their facts to trash her and her message in a public forum? Why are they allowing people to tarnish her reputation as well as her new TV program which they advertize during commercial time? Something smells

How's this for un-presidential? This is Obama visiting Africa and doing it Muslim style...... while he was a US Senator

look at the arrows she took directed at her and her family in 2008. But the reality is..the arrows were directed at all of us. because she is one of us. you don’t understand..they hate us no matter who we nominate..

Palin is a conservative with good values. the only way we will see justice for what happened in 2008 is if she succeeds.

I read Ulsterman also, I think the 25th Amendment may be invoked to stop this clown. The White-House-Insider is becoming more and more pissed off. It looks like the choice to save the party by removing the 1st Affirmative Action POTUS is becoming more and more the logical solution among Democrats. Let's hope they act soon.

I think she is ready. And I think she would change things.

No, you only hope she is. Hope 'n Change, 2012!

Our Israeli policy in the middle eaat.

And you know what, about Sarah Palin's idea of Israeli policy? Nothing, really.

She wouldnt send a bunch of money to the palestinian authority.

Possibly correct. Then again, you don't actually know how she'd respond to the exigencies of the moment, and there's nothing in her background to help you guess.

She wouldn’t spend our country into bankruptcy.

That requires working with Congress, of course. Has she got any experience working with something as large and fractious as the US Congress? Oh, yeah ... a half-term of governor of a small state. Well, it's marginally better than Obama's experience.

she wouldn’t apologize for our country when she goes overseas.

Wow. That's foreign policy for ya!

I think she’s ok, I don’t put her as some sort of heroin of the world though. If you take her off this trumped up pedastal, she really isn’t much more than say Kari Byron on Mythbusters. Hot, kinda kewl, but.. Still a TV celebrity only when it comes down to it.

Exactly, Rove and these other pseudo-Republicans are like the "Shamrocks" or the "Generals", the bogus fall guy teams the Harlem Globetrotters play when they tour.

We are hip to it now and that pisses them off.

Rove, Krauthammer, all these guys are tostado.

They are Gergens in the rough.

There is a difference you know. Reagan left acting and TV before running for Governor.

He didn’t begin TV and acting while wanting to run for President.

I never heard of this Liz Trotta broad.

Does she think that it was presidential when Clinton dropped his pants in the oval office and had his intern perform oral sex on him?

Does she think it was presidential when Clinton inserted a cigar in this same intern’s vagina?

Don’t even get me started on Obama and his everyday unpresidential acts and demeanor.

As I said.. you people are cowards.

If Palin runs and doesn’t get the nomination. We WILL turn this into 1992. Many of us tea party folks will find a 3rd party candidate.

If we can’t have it. we will break it

lol...yes, she’s literally laughing all the way to the bank.

Someone needs to get the ‘cane’ out and hook Rove around the neck and drag him off the stage (jerk).

"Naw, she quit Alaska gov and lost as a VP candidate. Lets go all in for her!"

I'm not sure what Republican could have won in 2008 with the Iraq war unpopular and the economy in crisis and the press worshipping Obama.

As for quitting the governorship, some of us have studied the reasoning behind that, the situation she faced in Alaska after the campaign, and see it as a reasonable choice, if not the only possible choice.

I’m sick of this double standard. Is she running? On one thread you see people saying YES, and she WILL WIN.

The other thread saying ‘NO, she’s just a TV personality!’ Which is it??

Maybe because she has so thoroughly blown through their claim that she’s not smart enough to be president. Gotta come up with something besides her being ‘polarizing’.
