Vanity: Fox News Panelist Liz Trotta Agrees With Karl Rove: Palin's Alaska Is Unpresidential

Posted on 11/13/2010 12:38:19 PM PST by Retired Intelligence Officer

I was appalled at Liz Trotta and 3 other conservative guest panelist (that I couldn't name) on this afternoons Fox newswatch hosted by Jon Scott all agreed that Palins new reality show, Sarah Palin's Alaska on the Discovery Channel was very unpresidential and it would sink her any chances for the White House.

The topic was that liberal advocacy groups were asking for the Discovery Channel to pull the plug on it. The consevative commentator Liz Trotta then said that she agreed with Karl Rove that this was a bad move for Palin. Trotta then goes on to take a pop shot at Palin saying "everytime this woman opens her mouth that her numbers go down". She then said "the more she speaks that she makes people simply not like her". Jon Scott did not ask Trotta why this was just like yesterday when Megyn Kelly didn't ask Meghan McCain why she thought Palin would be best as a reality star.

My question is why is Fox news who hired Sarah Palin allowing conservative guest freely without explanation to back up their facts to trash her and her message in a public forum? Why are they allowing people to tarnish her reputation as well as her new TV program which they advertize during commercial time? Something smells

Tell me, why do you add Steele in there? Sarah traveled around the US with Steele to fundraise for the RNC. She even signed on to a mailer.

Do you just ignore the facts? make up stuff? forget things?

I like rebellion too, but facts are a hard thing.

everyone can recognize what is presidential and what is not. any doubts, just ask Karl Rove /sarc off

Of course. WE the people decide whom we will have. There is a role for honest media, but it is not the role of the media to choose our candidate of guide us

Grate post!

POISON to Politics as Usual (PU)!!!

I think Steele is on her side, for whatever he's worth, or for however long he lasts.

Steele and Palin actually seem to be political allies.

Allowing total fabrication is not too noble no matter what the cause.

Rove and Trotta can just kiss my ever loving A$$. Yeah, like the current occupant is soooooooo presidential. When Rove cut loose on some of the conservative candidates, he lost me for all time.

I noticed Rick Perry trying to insinuate himself into TEA Party politics the other day. Why does that RINO think anyone in the TEA party would vote for that southern central connector cheerleader.

I've watched you attempt to nail this poster's foot to the floor without success. I suspect that it's because you can't nail a Troll's foot to the floor and get a legitimate question answered, because they're doing the standard Troll "dodge, weave, and change the subject". So, good luck, but I suspect the Kitties will get him/her long before you will ever be successful in your endeavors.

If she went bankrupt, is that the worst thing that could happen in life? You make it sound like she had to decide to leap from the WTC or burn alive inside.

Ok, enough of this. Been lurking, and can't stay out of it.

First, and primarily, it amazes me that the same person who says "knock off the strawmen" (you) is the one who keeps putting the buggering scarecrows up...no one said that she was Jesus Christ (the person of whom I presume you speak in rescuing people from their sins), or that she had to either jump off WTC or be burned alive", and you damn well know it.

And if we want to talk about people that "quit" in order to go after another job...let's see...Soetoro. Clinton. Napolitano. Biden. Salazar. Don't need to keep going with this. We're on to your game. You want to keep going, don't b-m-w when people who disagree with you call you out.

>> Ohio must be the ‘MOST’ Presidential as the most Presidents, 7, came from there. <<

Not accurate. The following POTUSES were born in Virginia:

1. Washington

2. Jefferson

3. Madison

4. Monroe

5. Harrison

6. Tyler

7. Taylor

8. Wilson

Just too bad that Henry Clay never made it to the top job, since he would have been number nine!

(Moreover, Clay would and should have made it, except for blatantly stolen votes in New York that went to Polk during the 1844 election.)

They have the right to their opinions. I’m just not convinced that the mere act of doing this show is unpresidential. Now, if somewhere along the line, she says or does something really, really stupid or offensive, we’ll deal with that. My impression is that she’s got at least as good a grip on how to behave presidentially as, and arguably better than, at least the other two major Republican prospects.

Sorry I was looking at the big picture.

Steele, like most of the established GOP, got behind Palin because of the direction of the breeze when he stuck his wetted finger in the air.

Yes, now he introduced her at a speech in California a few weeks ago as “The Honorable Sarah Palin.”

Almost exactly one year ago he described her as a “conservative outsider” whose opinion “really doesn’t matter much”
He also stated that he didn't want her to “go after the more moderate Republicans.” (We call them RINO's)

Yea, facts are a hard thing. Try doing some research before you ask stupid questions. It's you that “forget(s) things” although you've shown you even know the history of Steele and Palin.

Tell a lie enough times, and you may believe it yourself. LOL

I was just in Dallas and everyone I spoke to LOVES Sarah.

As for Karl Rowe, this was a man who once said “ Gov Palin is the next Reagan” Maybe Rowe is suffering from dementia now.

Surely it couldn’t be that he likes her.

Why does that RINO think anyone in the TEA party would vote for that southern central connector cheerleader.

Because the RINO will be running against Zero. Today he announced he wants to head the Republican Governor’s Committee, or Conference. Barbour might go up against him, but all Perry has to do is say ‘See Texas? Wouldn’t the rest of you states like to be like Texas?”

I’m not saying its an inevitability, but it’s a pretty sure bet.
