I was appalled at Liz Trotta and 3 other conservative guest panelist (that I couldn't name) on this afternoons Fox newswatch hosted by Jon Scott all agreed that Palins new reality show, Sarah Palin's Alaska on the Discovery Channel was very unpresidential and it would sink her any chances for the White House.
The topic was that liberal advocacy groups were asking for the Discovery Channel to pull the plug on it. The consevative commentator Liz Trotta then said that she agreed with Karl Rove that this was a bad move for Palin. Trotta then goes on to take a pop shot at Palin saying "everytime this woman opens her mouth that her numbers go down". She then said "the more she speaks that she makes people simply not like her". Jon Scott did not ask Trotta why this was just like yesterday when Megyn Kelly didn't ask Meghan McCain why she thought Palin would be best as a reality star.
My question is why is Fox news who hired Sarah Palin allowing conservative guest freely without explanation to back up their facts to trash her and her message in a public forum? Why are they allowing people to tarnish her reputation as well as her new TV program which they advertize during commercial time? Something smells
So, if it came down to Sarah versus the zero, you and your friends would vote for another 4 years of marxism?
Get a clue. People said the same things about Ronald Reagan, and, you and your friends are joining in with the anti-conservative hype.
Perhaps. Then again, maybe they would forget all about it if he laid out some serious wisdom in that accent.
And really, I don't think it will be a problem for him.
I listened to some clips of him speaking. The accent isn't too bad, maybe even kind of nice. He has a pleasant voice and a good sense of cadence, he does a good job of laying out an argument, and there's no sense that he's a racist cracker or anything like that.
As difficulties go, this is a foible that will make good fodder for the comedians, but that's to be expected. If he lays out a compelling platform, the comedy guys won't hurt him much.
You mean you will run a paranoid schizophrenic as a 3rd party candidate so that a sociopathic rapist and his socialist wife can become POTUS? Nice going!
lol, that was perfect.
I think most ppl just don’t like it when you dish her. We have enough from ppl from the media/democrats dishing her. We don’t need ppl who we thought were on our side, to also pile on. If you prefer soemone else, fine, but don’t go negative on Palin, just mention the positive of the person you prefer
For example, you claimed that all the "Big Women" lost, and you were wrong, and I pointed out to you that Newly-Elected GOVERNORS Nikki Haley of South Carolina and Susana Martinez of New Mexico were both "Mama Grizzlies."
So, you see, all the "Big Women" did not lose.
You've also taken cheap shots at Sharron Angle and I pointed out to you that she was an excellent. conservative canddiate, who won her debate with dirty Harry Reid, but that the union-thug-machine couldn't be beat in Las Vegas.
It just seems to me, that you're long on cheap shots and criticism of conservative women candidates, (and a potential candidate) and short on facts.
Not to worry, Jim doesn't usually reply. He understands that he is pinged when his photo is posted and that my question is rhetorical. His forum posts about Sarah Palin are easy to locate.
Sorry, I think you are wrong. Haley could have the wisdom of Solomon and still would not be elected. Sad, but true.
So, you think if she wins the nomination, the establishment won’t vote for her? Some people need a clue. This is all hype to keep her from running and giving us another McCain.
Wake up! The Republicans will come around if she’s the nominee. How about we the conservatives, who don’t want another establishment presidential candidate? We’ll probably sit home and allow you and those who think like you do, to give us 4 more years of zero.
We’re sick of the establishment Republicans. They’ve done wonders for the party, haven’t they?
I think it makes her look a lot like Teddy Roosevelt.
Bwahahahahaaaaa!!!!!
It’s a wonderful photo! There’s a series. Syncro posted all the photos, and most made it to the recent FReepathon threads. :)
Yes it does matter. People listen to her and what she accomplished as governor on the campaign trail for the midterms. She was extremely successful in getting people elected. She also had a plan called “Take Back The Twenty” in which she targeted 20 specific democratic districts and she took 19 of them back. Her record will be paramount durin a presidential campaign. Let me ask you something. Do you think her record was comparable to Obama during the election when it pertained to executive experience?
Yeah, you may be right.
Well, at least we know what’s in her so-called baggage, unlike the current usurper now occupying the WH.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
BTTT
I'm not quite sure you really understand what happened then. Either that, or you're politically tone deaf and just want to continue pushing a failed narrative fabricated by the Left and establishment Right.
Governor Palin had no recourse to fight the bogus ethics charges filed against her from the state. Any defense had to come out of her OWN pocket, on her OWN time. She could not do the job she was elected to because of these charges. Shortly after the election, this is exactly what happened. Political operatives and left-wing bloggers used a loophole in the new Ethics Law to frustrate the rest of Palin's term.
"Well if she can't take the heat, maybe she should get out of the kitchen then." No, it was better that she decided to fight back on her terms rather than being consumed by said fire, which would have destroyed her, her future political ambitions, and her family in the process.
Let me ask you a question: Would have still supported Sarah had she limped towards the end of her term, financially ruined and her future destroyed? I doubt it. You would have joined in the new narrative that would have said Sarah is "scandal-plagued."
Since when is it a bad thing for politicians to quit anyway? Don't we all dream of elected officials stepping down? She had a capable Lt Gov who completed the rest of her term and got elected outright, sparing the Dems another victory at her.
Try reading her 1st book sometime, she explains this in greater detail. Or Sun-Tzu.
Unpresidental = unwashed = regular person
Let me think.
Uh, I’ll take a regular person please.
I’ve said she runs hussein off the map, I’ll say it again. There’s no comparison. Stop the strawmen.
IMHO, all Sarah needs to do is run and the rest can fall into place. She’ll be prepared for the debates and has one of the best shots at winning the nomination. Let me say that again, Sarah Palin has one of the best shots at winning the nomination, period.
Somehow, she beat the rap. Right?
Did quitting really help? I don’t think it did. If she was in that bad of shape, Bush should’ve quit in 2005 or so.
I refuse to believe that she had to quit or else. At the time that may have been her best option, but for me that wrecked her as well. We all make choices, and that one was costly.
