In primaries this year, Republican voters in Alaska, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Kentucky, Nevada, and Utah, have rejecteden massethe candidates preferred by the National Republican Senatorial Committee, which Rove is said to informally advise. The Conservative Party candidate Tom Tancredoa known enemy of Roveis trouncing the GOP-backed candidate in the race for governor of Colorado.

The Rove meltdown against Christine O'Donnell showed what he's all about, although ironically it probably helped her to raise several million dollars -- but that could have been achieved without trashing her in ways so useful to the 'Rats.
The fat RINO is still usefull; his Crossroads organization has raised a lot of money to help the Republicans get candidates elected in the midterms. The Republican Party could potentially be useful as well in stopping Obozo’s agenda from moving through Congress.
Rove is a political professional who feels personally threatened by the grass roots Tea Party phenomenon which, of course, functions more closely to the political process the Founders envisioned.
Rove is an Open Borders Liberal Globalist....he is no conservative...and does not help the conservative cause.
He must be squirming severly knowing that Tom Tancredo may win the governorship of Colorado running third party. Rove hated Tancredo because Tanc was a big roadblock to Rove/Bush Open Borders Anti-Americanism
For the GOP to thrive and survive, it needs to kick out the liberals like Rove
I have never understood why this man or others in his line of work are considered to be politcal geniuses. I have listened to him and to Dick Morris or James
Carville and some others who have run or been closely involved in political matters and I don’t hear any great insights or understanding that I can’t find on these threads most days of the week.
“The Rove meltdown against Christine O’Donnell...”
RINO ROVE was unveiled with that meltdown, for all those who may have naievely thought Rove was ever on our side. No wonder Bush got into so much trouble, following advisor Rove’s ideas. Bush became beige, neutralized, middle of the road on so many issues that he could have resolved, or at least pounded to death in favor of conservatism. Rove hurt Bush and he hurts us.
Now, there can be advantages to having a guy like that on your team, but if anyone is looking for wisdom or insights about what the country needs in order to prosper, you don't go to someone like Carville or Rove. What do they know about that stuff?
They just get paid to persuade people and (hopefully) win elections. That doesn't mean they understand anything at all outside their little area.
And it certainly presents the possibility that they will be petulant and hurt if their guy loses and someone else comes up as a Winner. They may well strike out at such a person, just as a childish reaction. Again, it doesn't mean they have any deep insight into political philosophy. They're just mad they lost.

I would add Marco Rubio in FL to the list of Tea Party candidates that knocked off the “GOP establishment” candidate.
Rove’s one notable success will likely be the victory of communist Chris Coons and the defeat of Christine O’Donnell. Of course, he also had help from the RNC in making certain voters knew Christine was on her own and doing almost nothing at all to help her put together a winning campaign.
This will be a lesson to other upstarts who might dare challange the system.
but the Rs had great opportunities in the past decade which Rove helped to squander.

This is the central point we conservatives have to remember about Rove. Rove as I understand it was the most important political advisor to Bush. Opportunities squandered (and I had waited 1/2 a lifetime to see a Republican President, Congress and Senate at one time to make changes):
1) Balance the Budget
2) Reduce Government Spending
3) Reform Entitlements
4) Defund the left
5) Protect the borders and reform immigration laws post 9/11
6) Crack down on voter fraud
The first three would have required courage and political capital but would have saved the country; the last three would have been wildly popular except with the far left and the 30% that are led by them and it’s flabbergasting that they didn’t do them.
Rove advised Bush to be the biggest of big governement Republicans, if results (and Rove’s behavior now) are indications. Rove helped crash the economy and usher in Obama. Worst of all, he helped squash a historic opportunity to show that Republican principles and policies are superior to Democratic principles and policies. “We” had not had that opportunity since what, Hoover? Eisenhower?
Yeah! Rove made her say that scientists are splicing animal and human genes and they now have a “rat with a fully developed human brain.” He has ruined her! Rove even supplied them with the quote from the Bill Mahr show.
Outrageous!
Idiot - don’t press “Post” to quickly.
“I would add Marco Rubio in FL AS THE FIRST OF the list of Tea Party candidates that knocked off the GOP establishment candidates.”
Is he a Doctor Jackal now......after being Mr. Hide in the Bush administration?

Thanks Enchante. Rove’s still a magnificent bastard.
Rove’s organisation is helping getting conservatives elected.
What has Christine Donnell done for conservatives?
All she has done is waste tea party money and headed for certain defeat to a marxist in Delaware thanks to her lousy campaign skills.
Let him help in the general—until he makes it official and goes Democrat. In the primaries, a good rule of thumb is to do whatever Rove doesn’t want us to do. He’s the genius who insisted we stick with Specter, vote for Castle and gave us Republican progressivism through Bush.
If you liked George Bush GOP Light style of government you will LOVE Roves kind of candidate. Globalist, open borders, insurance, banking and Wall Street. No thanks.
