look at the other thread, there was a link that shows that this happens all the time. (and confirmed from a few freepers who work in the industry) Now, you probably need a tinfoil hat for another reason. because... why does MSM suddenly decided to report something that happens all the time?

No need for the tin foil hat, but it is clear that it is sabotage by the greenies or other competing interests like George Soros and Petrobras and the Suadi’s and Venezuelans and Cubans, and...on, and on and on.
Terrorist funding comes from oil producing countries in the middle east, why on earth WOULDN’T we expect our own facilities to be attacked! Why do we let people who practice this insane ideology (islam) walk our streets!!!!! They aren’t a part of this country because they follow their laws first and THEN the constitution. Their loyalty is NOT to our country it’s to THEIR IDEOLOGY. Then, when they see a target that helps them and hurts us they TAKE IT OUT.

It doesn’t take much oil to make a sheen a mile long, maybe a barrel’s worth in the right conditions. A Fire on the platform could cause a hydraulic line to break or a pump seal to crack, lots of opportunities for a leak, there are probably lines with production oil in them from tests even though the platform isn’t in production mode. I’m sure the MSm will make a big deal out of this but really it isn’t anything that’s going to effect the environment.
