They did.
Beck has already had estimates of capacity for the Reflecting pond at several levels of full out to the Washington Monument for the laargest level of full. That number was 250,000. It is backing up and overflowing across the street. The field off to the side has Jumbotrons too. It holds 300,000 and is also full. All Metro lines reporting long delays.
Estimate over 550,000 people from what I can determine.

Beck was on the Mall again today (above) taking another walk-through in preparation for Saturday.

They did not show the panorama intro but they played Glenn’s words while panning the crowd.

I think that was the microphone echo because he did not mince words about “YOUR SON, JESUS CHRIST”.
