“With all dues respect, the “logic” that a man of faith should not defend himself makes little sense to me.”
Me either, FRiend. God bless them all. Just skimming through some posts here. Hope nothing bad happened.
It is why Rush Limbaugh states (with not a little glee) that he "lives rent-free inside of their heads..."
Check Beck's website as he was going to put more on it tonight I believe.
My slideshow can only hold so many pictures before becoming too large a file size. Wish I could have put more in it. Glad you got to see it Nit!
“We all wish Martin Luther King, a man of faith, had been wearing [a bullet proof vest] too.”
Amen to that! In the First Crusade, the commanders sometimes had moods of false faith and made disastrous decisions.
true the way the left covers their bigotry, hatred, intolerance and racism is by calling others what they are.
Go on their sites and all they do is tell each other how they are tolerant etc but call others who do not agree with their view names of what they are.
Sadly, a vest would not have helped. I recall reading that King was shot in the neck.
LOL...to quote someone..."We call that 'Projection'..."
Rush broke through during the pioneer phase. Beck entered a highly competitive market. God bless both of them. Rush also had to be the armor plated battleship drawing enemy fire.
“Californias full of fruits... and nuts... and flakes...
What does that say about CA?” That it’s a large granola bowl?

“The last three times I listened to Beck on radio he bawled about one thing or another.”
Exactly. And the reason why I generally don’t listen to his show. He spoke clearly today and with conviction.
I’ll be listening to his show more often. There is clearly something going on there.
Today’s rally was at the Lincoln Memorial end of the Mall, from the Washington Monument down, not on the castle/Capitol side. The closest today’s crowd got to that location was the Smithsonian Metro station.
ABC Radio, 6 p.m.: M. L. Kings niece and Sarah Palin held a large rally in Washington on the theme of Restoring Honor. There were nice clips of Kings nieces comments. Then...[With sarcasm]: Elsewhere in Washington rightwing Glenn Beck also held a rally.

That “reporter” was really paying attention! I bet his/her little head could not compute that Alveda King would appear with Glenn Beck.
But we do have conservative radio personalities, and many of us would love to see and hear them, minus the backbiting, in support of each other, when any one of them is holding an event. They are individuals with different opinions and styles to be sure, but their audiences would like to see them support each other when the occasions call for it. It is the right thing to do, IMHO.
“It is the right thing to do, IMHO”
IMHO, it’s more right that they don’t coordinate. Let the left conspire. If OUR freedom of thought allows our paths to converge, that’s great. But, the whole Tea Party ideal is based on freedom - not lockstep.
Glenn Beck was telling about John Newton writing Amazing Grace. Newton eventually became a slave ship owner. After a horrible storm he called on God to save them. He then turned his life over to God and wrote Amazing Grace.

“I wonder what mention the Maharushie will make. Im guessing perfunctory at best. He has always suffered from an obamunist affliction regarding his own importance to exclusion of all others.”
Yup. The all-knowing, all-self-absorbed maharushie.
He’s absolutely brilliant. But the problem is, he knows it and revels in it. He’ll be a footnote in American history. Glenn Beck on the other hand....
We’ll just see how it plays out. :-)
We were there today. Huge crowds, shoulder to shoulder- it was amazing with so many people— not one drop of garbage, just the most respectful, courteous, friendly group of people. It was an honor to be among you all, I felt so proud to be a part of this nation.
I choked up so many times, pledge of allegiance did me in, could barely get through it in the company of a nation of patriots. Hubby wore his Nam vet cap and we so appreciated to kind comments of other vets, many were there. These guys spotted each other. What an honor to be among everyone present. It’s good to know you guys are there.
Couldn’t make it to the Wall, crowd too dense.. but my respects and eternal gratitude - never forgotten.. We are keeping the flame alive and awakening, thats a promise.
Geraldo devoting most of his show tonight to the Beck and Sharpton rallies. He opened with interviews with Alveda King and Al Sharpton.
