The videotaped Alaska camping trip between reality star Kate Gosselin and political personality Sarah Palin was a 'nightmare,' a source told the National Enquirer.
According to the tabloid, Gosselin lasted just two hours in the woods, before storming off in tears. The story suggests Gosselin acted like a 'diva' upon finding out about the bathroom situation. For the record, Palin pleaded for her to stay.

What bathroom situation?
She never took a leak in the woods before?
Sheeesh!
Here’s one of our favorite trails not too far from Fresno. We’ve base camped at Red Lake and took the day trip to Coyote Lake many times. Caught a lot of trout at Red Lake. No fear of not having enough to eat.
This is a class “A” jeep trail meaning it’s one of the easier ones:

There used to be an old dilapidated homemade outhouse perched on a haughty angle near the beginning of the Coyote trail, but you had to be brave or foolish to try to use it. Many did though. I hear it finally caved in. There was also an old rusted out International Harvester Scout turned over in the rocks on the side of the Coyote trail. Was a bit disconcerting on your first trip up the trail.
I drove a Toyota Landcruiser for many years. Then traded it in for a Jeep. Sheila drove a 75 Silverado swb 4wd pickup. They say you can’t take pickups to Coyote Lake, but we did. With a little custom work to the quarter panels, it made it over the rocks and between the trees just fine. Scraped off a bit of paint and chrome here and there, but that old truck would go anywhere. Also did a nifty custom job to the tailgate when I backed into a tree with the tailgate down, leaving a perfectly half-round indention. Sheila had a hard time explaining it to the girls at the office the next week. They were asking how a tree fell on her pickup. Sheila loved that truck.
Because TLC wrote her a big fat check.
Woo hoo! Can’t make it this year, but maybe next summer if conditions warrant.
Oh, yeah. Love the Usal trail!! Wish I could’ve been there.
We got together at work and bought one of those for our boss. He was quite happy, wanted to try it out right away but said he “didn’t have anything going on down there right now”.
All this talk of such nice facilities - buckets and toilet seats. We got a shovel and a roll of toilet paper.
What childish stunt? She went camping. Good God, the zeros take 8 vacations in 18 months, yet, people want to rag on Sarah for having some fun?
She is a human being you know. She hasn’t stated whether or not she’s running for president, and even if she does - so what? All presidents have an outlet. Just look at the liar-in-chief who plays golf all the time. People need an outlet. And, Sarah is a private citizen right now, is she not? Reagan loved to ride horses. And, gee, he starred in a few movies too.
Some people get my dander up!
You want a government ban that’s useful? Start with reality shows.
All of them.
Pulled heavy 4wd pickups and suv’s that got stuck with our little white jeep in one of the pics links above.
Saw elk and deer, elk walk up the creek right next to a campground with locals that I drove in the school bus years ago.
One had a birthday party with 2 generators and a rock band, fine with me I got there the next day!
Giant camp/bon fires we all had some fun for sure.
Yea wish you were there!
Alaska sounds like fun, keep me updated on your plans
Good tagline ;-)
Woo hoo!! And we still want to go camping someday on the jetty at Bodega Bay. Will have to keep a sharp eye out for the border patrol though.
Time as a Community Agitator would give her so much more credibility.
How many successful commercial projects did Hussein participate in before his Immacculation?
Sarah Palin's Alaska will premiere Nov. 14 at 9 p.m. on TLC, Eileen O'Neill, President and General Manager of TLC said Friday at the TCA press tour.
"The early selects are looking great," O'Neill said. "It's become clear it takes a special individual to thrive in Alaska."
It was reported last month that Kate Gosselin, star of fellow TLC program Kate Plus 8, and her brood will meet up with Palin when she takes her eight children camping in Alaska for an upcoming episode of her show.
The docu-series is being executive produced by Mark Burnett of Survivor and Apprentice fame. It marks the first time Burnett's Mark Burnett Productions has worked with Discovery since Eco-Challenge, which was his first major reality show, and the precursor to Survivor. Eco-Challenge ran on Discovery Channel from 1996-1999.
That's just it, there is none here.
But it won't stop the haters from declaring her dead, or those same people here who keep claiming her image has been irreparably harmed from claiming it has now been even more irreparably harmed (and they'll claim that no matter WHAT she does). They'll just keep chanting after each headline “this is really, REALLY proof she'll never be President,” and then the next time, “This is really, really, really, REALLY proof she'll never be President,” and then the following time, “This is really, really, really, really, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALY proof she'll never be President. She's REALLY dead this time!” Etc. etc.
Blah blah blah......
What is going to hurt their petty minds consumed with hate (”it's not hate, we really like her!” - snicker) is when this winds up making her look good because she comes off as the calm, controlled, reasonable one. She'll look like a professional outdoorsman, and anyone who has taken a diva camping before will empathize with Sarah. She will also come off as compassionate, composed, and patient - and she will look like 1,000 times the better parent. This will help her, not harm her, thanks to Kate's insanity.
I can't wait to watch this, I really can't. I am going to LOVE watching the Sarah Haters’ hearts break at FR and laugh as they take their usual petty cheap shots when they realize that all their hopes of her death-via-one-episode-of-Kate-Plus-Eight go up in smoke.
It's going to be great. I can't wait. LOL
Maybe if I’m on the road and trapped in a hotel room that night.
Official: Sarah Palins Alaska gets network deal
by James Hibberd | March 25, 2010 at 5:43 am | View Comments
Kate Gosselin, "Cake Boss" and now Sarah Palin.
Discovery Communications has finished its deal with the former Alaska governor for her reality show, with the company planning to air the series on its TLC channel.
Discovery Communications is so excited to help Sarah Palin tell the story of Alaska, and to have a great documentary filmmaker in Mark Burnett helping to reveal Alaskas powerful beauty as it has never been filmed, and as told by one of the states proudest daughters, said Peter Liguori, COO, Discovery Communications.
Eight episodes of "Sarah Palin's Alaska" have been ordered from producer Burnett, with a price tag of just under $1 million per episode.
Our family enjoys Discoverys networks, Palin said. I look forward to working with Mark to bring the wonder and majesty of Alaska to all Americans.
As first reported in THR, Discovery Communications edged out rival A&E Networks for the show, with the remaining question being which of its suite of channels would air the program. Discovery Channel is considered the flagship brand, and certainly a home for travelogues, though the company felt Palin's appeal was better suited toward mom-friendly TLC. The network is best known for "Jon & Kate Plus Eight," and also airs "Cake Boss," "Little People, Big World" and "American Chopper."
A bucket with a toilet seat??? Whatever happened to giving wilderness campers a roll of Toilet paper and sending them off to “squat” behind a pine tree or a pile of brush—telling them to “Dig a hole and then cover it with dirt” when finished??
