WASHINGTON -- House Democrats are trying to broaden support for immigration reform by reaching out to the gay and lesbian community with a provision in immigration legislation that would allow gay and lesbian Americans to bring foreign partners home to the United States.
Under current law, American citizens and other legal permanent residents can get a green card or immigrant visa for a spouse or immediate family members living abroad. However, the same rights do not extend to same-sex couples living in the country.
During a news conference on Capitol Hill Thursday, Democratic Reps. Jerrold Nadler of New York, Luis Gutierrez of Illinois and Mike Honda of California, among others, urged Congress to pass the Uniting American Families Act as part of a comprehensive immigration reform package this year.

Well, we did stop the healthcare bill in 1993 - but then again, we had 43 Senators (as opposed to 40). Big difference when people are deciding whether or not to “teach the Republicans a lesson”. Back then, we kept enough Senate Republicans around to stop Hillary.

For Financial Regulation - kinda sucks to teach the Republicans such a lesson that the only hope was that the RINOs would hold. (fat chance)
Perhaps in the future we think a bit harder about “teaching the Republicans a lesson” when it comes to House and Senate elections. Regardless of McCain being at the top of the ticket, it was CRIMINAL of us to give the RINOs the power to team with the Dems to IMPOSE this crap on the country.
Sadly, you’re right. Maybe, if we can get enough people in the House in November, we’ll have some chance of stopping future things. But I’m afraid binational Barry is going to get whatever he wants until then, and by November we’re going to have an immigration law that will make our hair stand on end. And I think we can expect a lot of other agendas to be stuck in with it; that seems to be his method.

I think it’s past time to march on Washington and physically drag these socialists into the streets and toss them out. I don’t think we can wait until November to change it through elections because by then it WILL BE TOO LATE!

This won’t be suicide for them if they get enough voters on the rolls to keep them in power. If this illegal immigration bill passes they will have enough votes to keep them in power until they absolutely destroy the country, or they will incur the wrath of a vengeful God who will then destroy the country. Yes I think it would actually be a winning argument if we had a real honest debate. Our side would make people see that a vote for a Democrat in any way shape or form, is a vote for infanticide, gay marriage and all the trimmings.
The recent talk of teaching children about different sexual positions etc as early as kindergarten through 5th grade, also teaching young children that attraction to the same sex is okydoky etc.
These things are offensive to many people, we need to convince them that their grand parents would roll over in their graves if they knew their children would support such characters as today's Democrats.
