Arizona!...Just doing the work Washington D.C. won't do!
04/26/10

Push has come to shove! When ranchers and border guards are murdered and the hacks in Washington do nothing...It's time to take matters into your own hands. What in hell is the problem with checking Mexicans to see if they are illegal?....

This law needs to go national. We need 3 things to control our border and the problem of illegal aliens:
1. a strong fence along the Mexican border
2. real punishment for anyone hiring illegal aliens
3. a national ID card

Do these, and we can solve the problem. If illegals can’t work, they’ll go home.

One of the “protesters” held a sign which said:

“This is supposed to be a free country.”

My blood is still boiling. Where does one begin with that?

The law IS national. The AZ law is almost exactly the same as the US law already on the books—which is not enforced.

The USA just needs an imigration policy. Right now I don’t think there is one. All countries have problems with illegals. When I lived in Saudi Arabia, the Saudis would round up everyone without work permits and take them to the airport. Use the individuals money for airfare or his employer’s money and send them home until they had work permits. I live in Mexico and Mexico has problems with illegals in the south. Mexico has strict imigration rules and it is expensive and in Spanish only. Hopefully, AZ wont cave to the Obama administration. We should at least have ID rules to vote in every state, but we don’t.
I talked to an imigration lawyer recently and they all have the sob stories of families who have lived here for 25 years and blah blah blah. We need to defuse these sob stories because that is what will be on TV.

I'm not sure that it really started with Abbie Hoffman, but I know he enjoyed using the English language that way --

All Americans love the idea of "Free" -- we want individual freedom, individual responsibility, small government, and no one telling us what to do.

Communists like the idea of "Free" -- no marketplace, no selling, no buying, no money. If you see something you want, just take it, then go have a party with your friends.

The Left long ago decided that they can campaign for "freedom" and get a lot of support. They also specialize in cognitive dissonce and like to pretend that government-subsidized Everything, paid for through confiscatory taxation is really exactly the same thing that the whole Land of the Free ideal that the Founding Fathers fought for.

i believe we do have immigration policy and laws...we just don’t enforce them because of the sob stories you refered to...i for one am in favor of using the national guard if need be to patrol our borders....catch them before they get in and turn them back....and if they manage to slip in catch them and send them back..we just have to do it...

It’s OUR “free country”.

Come in legally, conform to our culture, be productive,

and it will be YOUR “free country” as well.

“Do these, and we can solve the problem. If illegals can’t work, they’ll go home.”

Except for the half of them that are on welfare, etc. More like those will come if the border isn’t locked down and they aren’t deported.

“The High Cost of Cheap Labor: Illegal Immigration and the Federal Budget.” Camarota finds that while over half of undocumented immigrants contribute to the federal budget in the form of payroll taxes (creating a benefit for Social Security and Medicare programs of $7 billion annually), the costs of undocumented immigrants to the federal government exceeded their contributions by approximately $10.4 billion. Among the largest costs include Medicaid use, treatment for the uninsured, and participation in food assistance programs. http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscal.html

"This is supposed to be a free country.

Better ask the taxpayers about that one...we're footing the bill.

I heard on the Buffalo station this morning that Mexicans in Arizona (I assume the illegal ones) were going to offer themselves up for arrest. I wondered what the authorities would do with them all....I guess it makes the job much easier for everyone, as long as they have the facilities to room them.
