...To those calling for a civil war, this Marine wants you to stop, and think...
newsvine.com ^ | Mar 26 2010 | Sgt C USMC

Posted on 03/27/2010 12:59:55 PM PDT by worst-case scenario

It's been said that the military is always preparing for war. That is true. We prepare for combat every day. We ran 5 miles today to the rifle range and shot nearly 200 rounds a piece at targets and then ran back. However, we also pray for peace. I would love one day to be completely unnecessary. But alas, I am a realist, and I know that day will never come.

The headlines of the last week have reminded me more of glimpsing at the S2 Daily Briefing Sheets while in theater or the Al-Jazeera than the NY Times or the Washington Post. Think about that for a moment, let it sink in.

Before I get into the main premise of this article - I need to make two statements here.

First and foremost , when it comes to the back and forth of who did what to whom and why - I don't give a @!$%#. It doesn't change the action. In life we're judged by our actions, nothing more, nothing less. One of the greatest things of the military is when it comes to an enemy, the politics behind the situation - don't matter in accomplishing that mission. For the military , life is simple in that regard.

Secondly, Regardless of your political ideology, you've earned the right as US Citizens to say your piece - no matter how wrong it may be. That is your right, and I will give my life to protect it.

That one set my gaydar off, too, and got me wondering about his ‘wife’.

I had to laugh!

Lines of attack remain open: First, of course, the elections in November. Second, because Obama AND his minions CLEARLY intend subversion, state nullification efforts and state lawsuits with the Supreme Court exercising original jurisdiction are very important.

It should be possible to maneuver Obama into a constitutional box, or to provoke an overt act which would split the officer corps and bring him down.

I agree with you. BO's most recent actions (the legislative shenanigans to get the "health care" bill "passed," plus the fact that he announced 15 recess appointments without Senate review and approval) show he still has some understanding of the power of the Congress, and some fear of it as well.

His disrespectful treatment of SCOTUS during the State of the Union address shows me he has a deep, deep fear of them also.

Don't lose heart.

I just keep thinking about the public sentiment aspect of it. Recalling the anti-war demonstrations over the war in Vietnam; then extrapolating that to using military force in every corner of the country against our own citizens.

What are they going to do when 10 million UNARMED citizens march on DC? Will they order their security forces to open fire on them? And how many minutes would that last unless they were prepared to use helicopters with GE mini-guns and mow them all down?

And what does that do to public sentiment? The scenario just keeps building. Sooner or later they will have to deal with the will of the people and our demands will be highly influenced by how we have been treated.

That’s my point...if the worst case scenario comes to pass, so many people will be starting out “behind enemy lines” that the lines are going to be superfluous. State borders aren’t going to mean a whole lot when you have neighborhoods that are evenly split. Certainly there will be strong pockets in certain areas, but it will look a lot more like 1775 than it will look like 1860.

The article I wrote yesterday was intended to be a call for peace, and a moment for pause. In all honesty, it was merely my venting after reading dozens of headlines regarding the type of violence in the US that I was more accustomed to seeing on the daily intel briefing sheets while in theater.

Good grief! The Sgt. is a Drama Queen. Can a Marine Sgt. really be so stupid that he doesn't know the difference between a military intel briefing and America's main stream media propaganda?

FWIW it churns my guts to say something like that about a serving Marine but where am I wrong?

He’s talking about bricks and a shot outside a congressman’s office? Worse than the hangnails and papercuts he witnessed ‘in theater’?

This guy is being paid.

Huh, the dude uses his real name for that column. Found a Miramar news letter with a quote from him. Looks to be a comm tech of some sort.

Dude knew he messed up by using the language he did in that first article and deleted it. I don’t think he thought about the blowback he would receive by posting that and is trying to cover his butt.

It's a shame that anyone threatened him or his family (assuming that happened--it's always questionable when liberals raise the cry). That shouldn't have happened.

That depends upon what he calls threats too. If he's talking about hypotheticals thrown back at his hypothetical then ... pffft.

That is phenomenal! He is totally busted!

But what was his aim in doing all this? Just to prank people? Just to see if it could be done?

The question is 'what theater?' He deleted this post from his blog that seriously throws into question whether he's ever set foot in Iraq.

I don’t think that was a Marine. I think that was someone off their medication pretending to be one.

https://unitedstatesmilitia.com/forum/showthread.php?p=25639
“That Sgt C or whatever has now “re-written” the article completely and apologized. Completely ignoring the fact that he was exposed as a fraud. Wish I had copied and pasted it wonder if theres a place to find it. Convienently he states all the comments are lost theres gotta be a way to find it its tooo funny.”

Maybe someone here would like to sign up just to show him a link to a copy of it. ...part of it posted above this thread, and the rest of it here.

Here is my post to the killer Sgt.

Call for peace my rear end. You called to kill your fellow Americans and need to be held accountable for your foolish statements. I have a son now serving in the Marines, a nephew on his third tour in Afghanistan and a niece who just enlisted in the Navy. Our family has a serious investment in our Military and holds it in high regard, but you shame all who serve.

I’m one of those Americans you will need to kill my friend and I would proudly meet you face to face anytime, anywhere. I think those who work with you and command you need to know of your views and your dangerous thoughts. You have started something that needs to be soundly rejected and the Nation must be told of your partisan hate and your desire to kill Americans. Your weapons need to be taken and you must be removed from service. You have called the dogs of hell, I hope your up to it.

History indicates that the military would indeed be used to put down an insurrection or rebellion. The American Civil War should be proof enough. Anyone that seriously believes that the armed forces of this country would hesitate to put down a rebellion if ordered to do so is not being realistic. The United States government must rely upon military force to keep states from seceding, or else you would have at least 11 states that would no longer be part of the United States of America. There are people in all states that are wards of the government and depend upon government handouts for their survival. Slaves are made in such ways. When the time comes when this government is no longer able to feed all the welfare addicts or support a large standing army, the states will secede as a matter of survival.

Leave it to a Gunny! I went through some of the postings on that thread and I have to agree. The sentiment is that the guy wasn’t active duty at all....which is what I said to start with. ...probably some liberal, limp-wristed, sexually confused and frustrated guy, or gal... with green spikey hair and piercings in places we can’t talk about here. :-)

Thanks for relating that post. I only met two or three like “Sgt. C” in the military during the ‘90s. Those few seemed to be more interested in achieving rank and cheating their buddies than doing their duties. Every one of ‘em was fatherless and entered long before I did. ...not to reflect on all who didn’t have their dads around, of course, and especially those whose moms were widowed. But our country is being ruined in quite a few different ways.

About the source of this thread...the Marine... You probably didn't have this issue in your circles because group dynamics was very, VERY important. But farther down the food chain where I was situated my first couple of tours, people tended to slip through who never should have.

I was a site security team for a big communications site before the Soviet Union broke up and the Berlin wall came down, and there several people on the team who were GOING to have accidents if we ever went real world. If the guy we're all talking about here really is a Marine, I can't help but think that he's one of these types of people.

Sounds like an attempt to poison the military with false stories about the conservatives/tea party movement etc. Anyone here communicating with any of our service people? What are they reading and thinking? Clearly this marine thinks that we are screaming about civil war...just where is he getting that idea...besides the stated source?

I hope this is not a repeat post as I didn’t read all of them. I apologize if it is.
