Yeah, an odd word. Does he think some RINO will come over to his side with an Intervention?

I had to mute Murray. I am not sure I can understand anything she says.

That's all they got, emotional appeals.

Conservative think.

Liberals feel.

I think Obama was referring to Dingle and Rangle.

I lost my Mom suddenly on Jan. 4.

This was the kind of thing, where she would have been calling me saying, “Are you watching this? Can you believe what they are saying? “

I think this *has* been a historic thing...but....

hopefully Americans have the sense to see that this was a show. Obama was going to do what he was going to do. They got mad when we called it “Obamacare”.....but when both bills were tanking....he stepped in...as we knew he would and NOW it’s Obamacare.

From what I have seen today....Democrats don’t allow Republicans equal time...even after CALLING them to a publicized showdown.

They just don’t have the balls to be fair.

They have the variation of their bill and they are going to pass it.

True believers are going to say, “He tried!” WITHOUT taking into consideration what he has said and how he has behaved.

He told Boehner to @#$#4 off with the Republican alternatives.

He’s asking for something he already had...but he’s not going to accept.

It’s been an historic sham.

Now, more wine.

“Either they are ready to slam this thing thru and are using this meeting as theatric cover (”we talked to them, and the GOP was just unreasonable”)”

Ding, ding ding! We have a winner!

It would have been better if the Repubs had simply said no thanks to this “summit”. Now we’ll all have to pay.

Senator Murray has a bunch of people in boxes and she’s trying to get them out of the box.

Either they are ready to slam this thing thru and are using this meeting as theatric cover (”we talked to them, and the GOP was just unreasonable”), or there is no hope of passage and they somehow thought this conversation might go somewhere useful to their goals.

Figuring that these are skilled political operatives in the best Chicago traditions, I’m betting on the former. This is too high a profile event and too likely to fail miserably (to them) for them to take it on as an uncontrolled risk.

The most powerful man in the world does not hold public meetings unless the outcome is assured.

The Obama trip to Copenhagen, Denmark for failed 2016 Summer Olympics to be hosted in Chicago, comes to mind.

Sob story.

Check.

Looks like that was the ‘talking points memo’ that was handed to them as their strategy. FAIL!

Have you noticed that every persons name that these democrats say they have talked with in their district is a name like “Havier,” “Hulio” or “Manuel?”

It’s the time ratio that’s been completely lop-sided.

I've been timing everyone since Clyburn-D and the two sides (I haven't fully tallied yet) are almost even - the problem is that if you put in the Democrat administration time (Obama.Sebelius,Biden) it skews right off the boards. well over 2:1

Now we see a game of chicken. Either Reid has 50 or he does not. Either Queen 9% Nancy has 217 or she does not. I’m betting not, or else they wouldn’t have to put on this Kabuki Theater.

I agree with you. zer0 is going to go to the mats with this but the votes just aren't there. And the only significant portion of today's pageant - the morning session - left the dems and 0b0z0's agenda flat and bleeding with his opponents laughing in his face. The rest of the day was a draw.

Now I have to take my nap or my doctor (for whom I already have health insurance) will get mad at me and vote against me when I face the Death Panel on the Day of Judgement.
