'Miss Me Yet?' Billboard With Photo Of Bush Is Real; Not An Internet Trick
NPR ^ | February 8, 2010 | By Mark Memmott

Internet chatter had led to speculation that it might be an urban myth -- nothing more than clever digital trickery spreading via the Web.

But our friend Bob Collins at Minnesota Public Radio assures us he's seen it with his own eyes:

There is a billboard along I-35 near Wyoming, Minn., with a huge photo of former president George W. Bush and this question: "Miss Me Yet?"

“No W I do not miss you at all. You are the reason on why we have Obama.”

Poppycock, I would say that the “No More RINO” crowd is as responsible, if not more so, than President Bush.

You can create better choices, choose from the best available, or you can “get huffy” and say “I won’t vote for any of them”. That doesn’t stop the process, it only eliminates your input.

“Bush is who made Obama/Pelosi possible more-so than any one other republican, although he had help.”

Well....in all actuality it was the citizens (and probably non citizens) in the great States of Illinois and California that made the One & Lousy possible.

I certainly don’t agree with Bush on somethings but he was a helluva lot better that what most of the nation voted in

Thank you, whomever did it .... PING! Just ignore the deranged dweeb comments .. ;)

"Bob says there's no readily apparent claim of ownership on the billboard, so he's heading back to the scene to see if he can find out who's behind the message. He's also got some local politicos looking into it. He'll keep us posted.

At first glance, it would seem to be from some person or group who isn't thrilled by President Barack Obama's performance so far -- unless it's a more ironic message from those who didn't think too much of Bush and want to remind voters about him.

Anyone out there know anything about where it came from? Tell us and we'll pass the word to Bob. As he says, we could do a little crowdsourcing.

~~~
OK, MN FReepers .. maybe you can find out who did this .. loving it ..!
How can we as Conservatives blame the public, if our “best representatives” can’t beat the tar out of the likes of Al Gore, John Kerry, or Barack Obama?
In Obama we had a man who was known to be about as close to a known traitor as a candidate could be. He advocated remaking our nation. What is that if not a call for us to abandon our Constitution and our founding principles? His affiliations and inner circle was known. Did we exploit any of this?
We have what is tantamount to a traitor running for the presidency, and our nominee chose not to address any of the above. Instead he said he admired Democrats and their policies, and that we had nothing to fear from an Obama presidency.
Preceding this, what president sat on his hands as the nation’s economic system circled the drain?
We’re supposed to be the party of small government, sovereignty, and national defense. So what do we do? Well, we implement massive government programs, allow our nation to be over-run by foreign nationals, and allow our Navy to remain at half it’s former level, and solidify the one theater level of preparedness.
We couldn’t have handed Obama a better hand. And when he bluffed with his claims of leadership, our team folded.
You’re going to blame this on the public?
No you’re not... you’re smarter than this. We have nobody to blame but the person we look at every morning in the mirror. We allowed this travesty to fester and grow into a mighty giant.
We’ve been in denial for eight years, and if we don’t pull our heads out as a party, our nation is friken doomed.
For your information - Bush is appearing with Clinton because they were picked as ex-presidents to head up the Haiti Relief. This is done in all administrations in order to use the fame, respect, knowledge and clout that comes with being an ex-president to urge people to extend help.
Bush is no longer president and he served and was treated horribly by the democrats and his own side. This was one man who stood alone.
I am always amazed that supposed anti-democrats can jump on the hate wagon of the man that stood up against Al Qaida and protected this nation for 8 years. Also they might note - he was not corrupt, represented the country with strength, grace and dignity.
There is so much to hate - why waste time on ex-President Bush.
I don’t miss many of his policies, but I do miss the statesmanship and dignity he gave to the highest position in the land.
Yes, President Bush let down conservatives in some pretty serious ways, but as a totally deserved and funny dig at Obama, I love this billboard. And I DO miss Bush.
The only reason to find out who did it - is to start a campaign to have this billboard show up nationwide.
