“on the upside, Kinzinger is
winning in a landslide, and WILL take out Debbie Halvorsen
in the General.”

Thanks for that great piece of news!!

I stated loud and clear we needed a Reformist candidate. This race was a joke from the start. Just electing people that have an “R” after their name guarantees nothing unless that person is committed to a Conservative agenda (and in Illinois’s case, being OPPOSED to the corrupt political machine). Kirk could care less about either clean governance, or a Conservative agenda. If he’s elected, he will go to the Senate to maximize dissension. I’ve seen this same song and dance routine over and over again, and I know how it turns out.

And as for Fitzgerald, the corrupt Combine ran him out, and the lead thug in running him out was one of those wonderful liberal Republicans like Kirk named Ray LaHood. LaHood was rewarded with a Cabinet seat by Zero for all the good work he did in running out the best Senator the state had since Ev Dirksen.

“for those of us not in Illinois, what is The Combine.”

The Combine - the democrat machine, centered mostly (but not exclusively) in Chicago, aided and abetted by lapdog Republican enablers, who are rewarded with scraps from the table.

What Obama has in mind for the country as a whole - be forewarned.

Giannoulias needs to go down, first and foremost.

I doubt most Illinoisans know as much about Kirk as the folks at FR. This is Illinois - you know, Burris, Obama, Durbin, Paul Simon.

Now you know why the nickname for a person born in Illinois is Sucker.

Then Kirk’s in the captain’s seat. Sorry for the bad pun.

What level of RINO-ness do we expect from him? McCain/Lindseed or Maine Twins

I disagree. Many self identified conservatives voted for him. The polling showed as much which is crazy. However the coward didn’t debate. We need to take him down. This is the time if ever to run a third party candidate against both the Democrat and the Republican.

Thank you for replying.

Illinois is much like CA, and we need to get rid of Barbara Boxer (dare I add, “at all costs?”).

In the primary, I fully intend to vote for Chuck DeVore, BUT if he doesn’t win, then I will have to ask NormsRevenge to hold my hand or the barf bag while I vote for whomever won the primary.

I just heard Greta announce that Kirk has been declared the winner, so now it’s up to him to win Obama’s old seat!!!!

I don’t need a link on his health care vote. Every GOP House member except Cao from Louisiana voted against Obamacare.

I thought Dillard was the guy who endorsed Obama in the 08 campaign? And Edgar wasn’t Edgar a pro-choice gun-grabber? (Forgive me if I’m wrong... I’m asking questions, not trying to spread disinformation.)

Exactly right, IMO. I voted for Hughes today, but Kirk wins it. I will vote for Kirk in the general. Anything to ensure that O-buddy Alexi doesn’t get in.

They’re both rats. Great big sewer rats. And if we must have a rat, let him be openly identified as such. I’m sick of the damage closet rats do to the GOP, that’s worse than what the open ones inflict.

He’s similar to the Maine Twins, especially on the social issues.

Maybe I don’t have as much fight in me as others, but I was resigned to eith Kirk or a ‘Rat winning this race. The voters who elected Illinois voters in the past have either died or moved to Phoenix. So now we need make it clear to Kirk that we’re open to supporting him, but that he’ll need to win us over.
