National Review states unequivocally that Dold is a solid conservative.
Whoever is reporting that at National Review must be smoking some strong stuff. Since when has a self described “moderate” candidate who says he’s “leaning toward” supporting abortion, gun control, gay rights, closing gitmo, wall street bailouts and prides himself on his “green” credentials a “solid conservative”? Why would all the pro-Kirk sites who tout RINOs be heaping praise on Dold if he was conservative?

NR is not exactly cutting-edge, up to speed on a lot of things. They have some good writers but the knowledge of local politicians is very weak, the exceptions being individual writers like John Hood on his home state of North Carolina.
